When I arrived to check in I found open sites that allowed us to stay additional days. I asked for my reservation to be moved to another site and was informed they could not do that. I had 2 choices, stay where I was originally or make a new reservation for the site that provided more days. I had done this inbthe past at SSCG with no problem. B I was advised I may or may not receive a refund and was offered zero guidance other than I needed to go online and try to cancel it. I was advised the rv park was under new management but i wasn't treated to a customer centric experience. Seemed like the staff woukd rather tell you no than to offer a solution or guidance. I have a 70 year history with S SPRINGS and felt pretty much kicked tobthe curb with a take it or leave it attitude.

Lovely camping area. Enjoyed taking a walk every day down to the springs. Verizon cell service was good. Antenna TV service was periodicThe local hardware store was amazing. Had good tacos at Odd Todd's. The DG is well stocked and the laundromat is clean. Drove some forest service roads but not much to see there. Ocala is a short ride. Highly recommend the loop at Ormond Beach.

The park is nice, but the price is insane. $75 a night is resort prices. Unfortunately, I will likely not return.

This was as expected however, beware that the main office might not honor the Military discount offered here. They said they reserve the right to deny discounts and that they only honor senior discounts.

These were the cleanest restrooms and showers I have ever seen a Recreations.gov camp site!

Love this park! This made our third time there & we will be coming back again. We loved the addition of sewer hookup at the site. Also liked the improvements of the roads & the cleanliness. Wish the concession stand/gift shop next to the springs would be open. It didn't even have any hours of operation listed. It never has been for us. Also liked that the steps to the springs were cleaned off!

Our stay was perfect! The Saltsprings were very unique and fun to explore! We saw a mama manatee with her baby, A manta Ray, blue crabs and many different kinds of fish as we swam in the 74 degree water. The underwater caves were easy to see and explore from a safe distance in water that was not too deep. It was a great way to enjoy nature. The campground facilities were impeccable, especially the bathrooms and we really appreciated having a nice clean place to clean up. It is a beautiful campground with mature trees and nice places to walk, including the asphalt road throughout the campground and park. The asphalt campsites were literally groomed between campers! Thanks for a great trip! We look forward to returning!

I felt I was eligible for a disabled vet discount, attempts to secure the discount only led to confusion. It was suggested I ask the agent at the park upon arrival to be referred back to the reservation company which is where the confusion lay in the first place. I've found that U S government facilities managed by private industry to be a bit complacent in the customer relations department.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They have firewood for sale at the check in office and ice/sunblock etc at the shop near the springs. Love the trail and the spring was beautiful. Have to drive a short drive to the marina where you can rent canoes or kayaks. Wifi was fine! RV hookups were nice. Lots of space. Would recommend. Bring bug repellant for the hike!

The springs are magnificent. Renting a canoe or kayak is highly recommended. The short but scenic hiking trail well worth walking.

The sites, facilities, and recreation areas were very well maintained. All staff were polite, helpful, and friendly. There were manatees just outside the swimming area. The staff/volunteers were diligent in their efforts to educate visitors about the need to not interfere with or molest the manatees. This is very important to the preservation of these majestic creatures for the future generations.

Salt Springs campground is very clean and green. Bath houses are spotless and well maintained.
The grounds are monitored for safety and comfort.
Boating, kayaking and water sports are at your doorstep. The Salt Spring is fun and entertaining.
Weekends are very busy but weekdays are peaceful and quiet. The weekends are fun because of activities and people are fun. Most everyone is considerate. It is a lovely place for families.

Great campground, very well cared for. ATV trails in the surrounding Ocala National Forest are some of the best in the state.
First come first served policy on a majority of the sites is a pain. Standing in line for an hour on Friday morning at 7am to get a spot for the weekend, not the best, but sure there’s a reason.

Overall a very nice campground, well maintained by the staff. The only drawback is the noise from the busy highway nearby but it does quiet down some at night. The spring area was not busy at all in February but I would imagine it could get packed with day-use visitors in warmer months. The small grocery just south of the campground is well stocked with essentials as is the Dollar General store across the road. Other than boating, hiking, or fishing, there is not much to do in the immediate area. Saint Augustine and Anastasia State Park are about an hour away and worth a day trip.

This is a nice, clean campground. It's quiet most of the time. Had a group move into several sites across the street that played their music way too loud. It felt quite intrusive and was very inconsiderate. When I complained to the office they minimized the issue and didn't do anything. Other than that a nice place and most of the people were friendly and considerate.

We love it here. The campground is nice and clean and we can walk or drive to the springs. There's a great restaurant down the road and a little shopping with a redbox if needed. The only complaint we've ever had is if you take a shower after dark the timer on the lights isn't long enough. I barely got wet the last time and the lights went out. It's a good thing I had a flashlight with me because it was pitch black. Dangerous for older people.
