Great little camp ground in the Osceola forest. I had a primitive site. It was clean, the bathrooms/bathhouse was clean and the staff was very friendly.

Ocean Pond Campground is lovely! All the facilities were reasonably well kept and the scenery is great. The nearby sections of the Florida Trail were a lot of fun to hike.

Overall, I had an amazing trip out to Ocean Pond. It was my first visit there and had a great trip with my dog. We stayed at one of the primitive sites. The grounds were well kept, bathrooms cleaned and stocked daily, and staff were present, friendly, and attentive. Cell service (AT&T) was decent as well. My GPS initially directed me to the Osceola Ranger Station rather than the campground entrance. Evidently I had difficulty obtaining the correct physical address. It was an easy correction once I found the right address and not terribly far off route. I do wish the hiking trails off the campground were a bit better marked. I was able to pull a trail map off of AllTrails but after speaking with one of the staffers, discovered there was an addition, longer trail too that I wasnt finding. It would be nice if there was a trail map or something at the campground! The trail I did hike was 70% well maintained and easily accessible. There was short stretch of trail near the head that was overgrown with felled trees, making it difficult to discern what was trail and what was forest. Looks like it just needed a bit of TLC. Once past that stretch, the rest of the trail was well marked and easily identified. Overall, had a great time and plan to come back with my dogs and some of our friends!
