Loop Fawn, bath house needs handicap bar in shower, shower only has 1 12x12 seat to store clothes and change on, shower has timed push button and needs twin controls to activate and set heat, bathhouse needs mini split AC which will also help with bug control, bathhouse lights stay on all night and need motion sensors to go to night light level, major issue bath house has no parking so handicap people who cant walk can access bath house. Look to coleman lake in talladega forest for how bath house should be set up. Staff were too set on enforcing rules. Made campers wait till 2 till allowed entry even if site ready. I got in trouble for going to day use area and finding shade to wait on entry time, I am receiving chemotherapy and dont handle sitting in parking lot sun very well. Staff in general was strict and indifferent to visitors. I never saw a ranger and it seems the rangers are hands off on this area. Overall the site was clean and serviceable except for the bath house notes above

This is a nice park, but way too many so called double sites. At least a third if not half are large single sites that they allow two rvs, 4 vehicles, and 12 people to occupy. We enjoyed our first week until spring break came and all the sites filled up including all the double sites. One of the reason we like COE, national forests, etc is the sites are always spread out and spacious. No so here. Great campground otherwise, if they would just eliminate most of the double sites.

The bathhouse on our loop was closed due to COVID. We had to travel to another loop to go to the restroom. I didn’t understand the reasoning behind this because that meant more people in another bathhouse. More bathhouses open would mean less people at each one.

It was bit bit chilly first morning, but weather was great after that. Due to the covid restrictions only one bath house was open, which made it difficult for some tent campers. It didn't effect us any as we're in a RV.
Facilities are clean and staff very friendly. Lake was at flood stage which made fishing from the bank a challenge also.
Overall we had a great time and would visit again.
