Our stay at Oak Fork in June was very enjoyable. We stayed in one of the cabins which was very nice. My husband and I appreciate the convenience of the cabins as we are both in our 70's and not up for sleeping in a tent on the ground anymore. We can still enjoy the outdoors and the beauty of Timothy Lake without forsaking our comfort. Enjoyed having a campfire every evening, caught a fair amount of trout and ate some delicious food. The camp ground was very clean and the rest rooms were very well maintained. Only complaint would be it was a bit windy the first couple of days. All in all a great time.

Camp hosts stopped in on our campsite a half a dozen times to ensure we were following the rules. Whenever we would turn around they were sneaking up on us. Those of us who felt comfortable going on the water had fun but every time we would do anything the group would have to discuss the camp hosts and if they would approve. We were a family with grandparents, a pregnant mom and were in a handicapped space to accommodate them. I thought camping was about having fun but the camp hosts disagree. We were not rowdy, drinking or doing anything inappropriate. We simply had a therapy pocked dog that traveled in the grandparents pocket and the camp hosts didn't approve of. Other dogs were everywhere but because we had a handicapped space they didn't even want the dog on the common trail areas. It was so frustrating seeing everyone else have big dogs running around when ours in our pocket was a problem to the camp. We couldn't even have the dog in our car next to other people who ad big dogs running around off leash. One thing to note is we got a rules sheet and it DID NOT state the same rules as the camp host was telling us. They said the rules were different online but would not prove it to us or willing to show us since there is no Internet access on site. Why did you have to try to take down our fun family trip? Get some consistency and i would be glad to follow the rules if we simply knew what they were AND we are not being singled out.
