Spent 3 nights here - peaceful, clean campground and had a short walk to the lake from our campsite 56. Bring paddle board or kayak and you can get out on the lake before the Day Use visitors get there! One of the mornings we went up to Timberline Lodge (15 min drive) and after exploring the lodge we took the Miracle Mile ski lift up for $20/person and had amazing views and hiked back down (you can take the lift down too).

Recreation.gov can't control the weather. That's our only complaint. Otherwise, it's a great campsite! Wish we could have seen the sun.

Trillium Lake is quite nice with some gorgeous views of Mt. Hood, great for photographers. Really enjoyed that it's close enough I was able to ride my mountain bike up to Govy and connect with several fun trails, eventually ending back at the lake. The bad? It's unbelievably crowded with people and with large amounts of people comes trash. Seriously, is it so hard to dispose of your garbage responsibly?
