We had a great stay at this campsite! The camp host was absolutely amazingpersonable, friendly, and went above and beyond to keep the bathroom facilities clean, which was especially impressive given how busy the site was. The surroundings are truly spectacular, and the views of Mt. Hood from the water are unbeatable.That said, this is a very popular and active site. There was a lot of traffic early in the morning with cars and trailers arriving, plus a steady stream of day-use visitors throughout the day. This made the site quite noisy and dusty at times. Its not the most private campground, but the short walk to the water helped make up for that.Overall, its a beautiful spot with a fantastic hostjust be prepared for a more bustling camping experience.

We loved our stay at Kinnikinnick, site 21. Cindy (camp host) was amazing - super friendly, helpful, and reasonable. Site 21 is a large, fairly flat site with shade over the tent area(s). There was space for 2 large tents, and we even set up a third small one for gear. Be advised it's about (I'd estimate) a city block from the parking lot, so you'll be hauling your gear in. Short walk to the lake. Sites 20 and 21 combined are perfect for a group.

The camp host was very helpful and friendly. The road into Laurance Lake is very rough, I had an 18 foot trailer and I did make it, but would not recommend anything larger than that.Our trailer site was very nice, in the trees and well shaded, but was somewhat difficult to get backed into. I would not recommend bringing a large trailer here.

I camped solo with my dog at Kinnikinnick Lake for the first time and felt completely safe. The setting was beautiful, and having Parkdale nearby for extra supplies was a plus.Camp host Cindy was fantastica friendly, consistent presence who kept the facilities in great shape.Most campsites have a communal feel. While privacy is limited, you get prime access to the lake and fewer crowds than nearby Lost Lake.The road in is rough, but the day-use area was popular with anglers. After this trip, Im inspired to learn how to fish.

Great site, very spacious and although its not directly on the water its only steps away. You do have to hike in but its a very short walk, maybe 30 feet at most. Pit toilet by the boat ramp was pretty terrible, but we were there right after 4th of July weekend and there was a heat wave, both things which impacted its state. Make sure to bring a paddle board or kayak to check out the gorgeous view of Mt Hood from the water (the mountain is behind the campground and not visible unless you are on the water). The road in was washed out but our Explorer managed it fine as well as our friends small rv.

We really enjoyed our night at this campground and site 1 was very secluded. Would definitely come back!

The camp host was a real stickler, threatening us about every rule and we did nothing wrong.
@KarinAD144B3D5 · Camped on May 26, 2024 at Campsite #3
Campsite 3 was great - fully shaded with a nice large spot for a tent. On one side, there was the road to enter the area, and on the other was the road to one of the boat ramps, so there was some people moving on both sides, but on the weekend we were there, everyone was respectful and moved along quickly. The road in was mostly paved with about a quarter mile unpaved section and one deep ditch that our CRV did fine with. The host was active and welcomed us when we parked and was available if we needed anything. He was selling wood bundles for $10 but also let us know there were plenty of felled trees around we could use for our campfire. Definitely no water or no service but we had a lovely time!

We had campsite 1 right on the water and had a great stay. It was very quiet, and there was room for 2 tents. The bathrooms were well taken care of, as good as a pit toilet can be. We enjoyed paddling on the water with views of Mt. Hood, and fishing.
@JeffA9550709 · Camped on May 18, 2024 at Campsite #9
We were rained upon the entire trip, but the campsite itself was excellent. Access to the water was easy, the lake was spectacular, water is clear and clean, the no-bait fishing rule helps with that certainly. It is well maintained and people clearly work to keep the site clear of trash and such. Just a great out of the way spot.

The camp host this year I believe his name is Pat is doing an excellent job! The bathroom has never been cleaner, the noise drops at 10 pm and we just really had a great time.

Pros: beautiful lake, cannot hear cars so very quiet, able to see stars on a clear night, great views of Mt. Hood, prime location for exploring.Cons: We stayed in Campsite #14 and it was NOT ADA Accessible (could not back in, no pavement, steep and uneven slope, etc.). Looking at the website now, all of the sites are listed as accessible but to my eyes, very, very few actually are so if you have accessibility needs, this may not be the campsite for you. I would also rate bear safety and awareness as low to very low. The campsite is also private (as in not USFS) which was fine but I say that because we needed to adjust our expectations.Tips: Campsite #1 looked to me like the best site. Grateful Vineyard has really good pizza for when you are sick of camp food.
@ShelleyM113252 · Camped on Jul 19, 2023 at Campsite #14
Site 14 is not waterfront. You have to cross the day use gravel parking lot to get to the lake. Also because it is connected to the day use area, it is neither private or quiet. It is directly next to the camp host and people are walking up to the camp host at all hours of the day and can see everything in your site. I would not recommend this site, very disappointing.
@JudieR7076917 · Camped on Jul 12, 2023 at Campsite #9
Major hike in. Surrounded by trees, but not covered by trees. Spot gets very hot during the day. It was way too difficult to get everything in and out, wont be back. There is no water, bring your own.
@MadisonW817980 · Camped on Jul 1, 2023 at Campsite #21
We had a wonderful stay. Site 21 was fairly private and there were no mosquitoes. Had a great time hiking and playing in the lake. The road in was fine in an SUV. Firewood is available onsite and nearby.
@TaniaL68DAC808 · Camped on Jun 30, 2023 at Campsite #13
The lake is very beautiful, with good swimming and great hikes nearby. However this is not my favorite campground. The campsites are very close together and all adjacent to the day use area, which gets extremely loud and crowded. It was the most noisy and crowded campground experience I have had in the PNW.
@ThomasR5111286 · Camped on Jun 19, 2023 at Campsite #20
I appreciated that it was tent camping only and no motorized boats on this fairly large lake. Kept noise levels minimal. Lake water was still too cold for swimming in June. Campsites were not very private. The bathrooms were well maintained, better than most. Good base camp for other daytime explorations in the area.

Camp manager is always a hoot and extremely helpful. Clean toilets! Friendly neighbors.

Incredibly quiet, very pretty, friendly ranger/host, and clean bathrooms. We were at site 20 nestled in the center of the site away from the driveway, which was confusing to find at first because we didn't understand that it wasn't a drive up/park in site. We had to walk several yards to and from the car for supplies, but luckily we're fit. Foliage is pretty dense and the sites were very big, so there was a lot of privacy. And you can't beat the view of Mt Hood. We'll def be back.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
