Great location. Close to water. Close to drinkable water and bathrooms. Sites were pretty close to the road and the road has a lot of speed bumps so you basically listen to campers bottoming out all weekend. The Pit toilets were super full so that was kind of gross. On day 1 it rained pretty good and one of friends tent leaked bad. Her stuff was soaked. It was supposed to be freezing that night, so we went to the front desk to see if we could use the on-site washer and dryer. Its not for the campground, but there is a resort there. They said housekeeping was using it but to come back later in the day. so we came back later in the day and they changed their mind and said we could not use it which totally screwed us because the laundromat Hood River was closed by then. Wish the customer service hadnt sucked so bad! Its great to have a general store that serves beer and ice cream. The lake is beautiful. Great spot for hammocks. And renting a row boat is pretty cool too. also highly recommend walking the loop around the lake. Wish we got to hike the Butte, but there was still snow on the ground next time!

We had the most amazing time. The lake is beautiful of course but the group site was great, very spread out clean. Bathrooms weren't terrible for being vault toilets. They did a good job of keeping TP stocked and clean. It was the perfect trip for sure.

Always enjoy our stay-the staff were quick and friendly about cutting up a tree in our camp site

We were greatly disappointed in the amount of fallen timber. You might make the argument that that's the way nature intended but the reality is it makes the park an impassable mess. I think a happy medium might be found to leave some and clean up the more obnoxious messes. And BTW you still owe us some $500 dollars when our reservation was cancelled last year due to covid. All we heard about was everyone was working from home and we never got our refund.
