Lost Lake is always an incredible place to stay. It really feels like camping in the forest without feeling absolutely stranded. The lodge and store offer the quick necessities and forgotten items.

The camp spot is beautiful. Its far more of a walk than 200 feet walk and kind of isolated. So if you are by yourself and only stay for 1 night (like me), I would not recommend it. Luckily, I was able to switch to a different camp spot (and paid the difference, but I was happy to because I didnt wanna to be so isolated.

The spot was really interesting. It's on a slope with a view and lake access which was nice. The only things that were less than pleasant were we could smell the bathrooms from our spot. The 2nd was they didn't strictly enforce dogs needing to be on a leash. Random small dogs were running the paved path and almost into our camp where we had dogs. Our dogs were very aggitated by this. Careless dog owners made the trip a little less enjoyable.

A great place with good fishing, beautiful trails for walking and a very high-quality organization of the territory! It's just a pity that bonfires were banned...

Very bad entrance management: we reserved the campground months ahead and had to wait an hour plus before we can get to booth entrance as the park folks did not know how to manage when day use visitors waiting for parking spaces to free up, blocking reservation campers to enter.Confusing signs showing exit when we tried to reach the boat launch area.Not much privacy due to close campsites.Only one small boat launch for a campers sharing crowded day use visitors.Hiking trails not fun around the lake.Not much for fishing for such a big lake.

Gets busy but sites are close to the Lake and the campground is in a remote area of the wilderness. The trail around the lake is a wonderful place to explore.

We love lost lake! I only wish it wasnt so popular so we didnt have to fight for a place on the lake.

The place is lovely, campsites beautifully arranged so that despite the fact that the site houses many people, there's a feeling of privacy. Also I have to note the extreme kindness of employees in the shop when there are problems. However -two cautions: 1) do not rent a campsite for one night only, as the work of set-up and take-down is daunting. For those who don't find a reservation, a better option is to come early and try to grab a first-come-first-serve site where you can remain for several days. We learned this the hard way. 2) Do not think about renting a yurt for one-night only. We encountered a persistent drizzle and attempted this, discovered also the hard way, that check-in is after 3:30, check out at 10 am, which makes it very unworth the cost.

This is a beautiful spot. It is so crowded though mid summer, and other campers are loud. Administration may want to implement generator hours to 2 hours morning 2 hours afternoon perhaps. The people across from me had their generator on all day and evening, which ruined the peaceful and beautiful experience these natural places provide. People playing loud music also was a big turn off. I may try again in the Fall, but as for now, this place is ruined for me. Lost lake is not at all lost.

We always enjoy our time at Lost Lake. The hike around the lake is great for almost all abilities, and we have taken the Huckleberry trail up to the PCT a couple times - once seeing a bear two time too many, so decided to leave the trail to him! LOL! If you are there on a weekend, be prepared to share with hundreds of day users that come down to share in all Lost Lake offers...

Had a great time and enjoyed a short 2 night tent camping experience. Was little surprised to hear airplane noises middle of the night. Not sure if thats a standard thing out there or that was situational.

Very relaxing place! We caught three nice trout and cooked them for dinner. We love this campground and have been coming here for over 65 years!

Such a lovely gem of a campground! Perfect lake, amazing view of the mountain, just wow. Next time Ill try to find a site closer to the lake but we still loved the D loop. It felt very wooded and private.

I have been going to Lost Lake for 25 years and its one of my favorite places. We had a great time as always. Only thing I'd like to mention is that at site F003 in the lower camping platform (2 down from the one with the fire pit) the tree next to the site is rotted out and was making popping sounds during wind gusts at night. We moved our tent and 2 sleeping children at midnight and let the ranger know in the morning. Passing the info along because I don't want anyone to get hurt :) Otherwise Lost Lake was magical as always!

I grew up not far from Lost Lake. I hadnt been there for over 20 years, and it was great to create new memories at such an incredible lake and campground.

This is our 4th summer camping a Lost Lake. We love it every time! It is a great place to disconnect and enjoy the lake with friends and family. Highly recommend!

Campground is large and rowdy. The staff does not manage late night partying and it definitely takes away from the overall experience. Great location but too busy.

Lovely campground! Numbers of day campers should be restricted on the weekends. So many cars parked all the way up the the entry kiosc seems dangerous. What if there was need for fire evacuation-- or someone had an accident?

Positives: Location is beautiful. Lake water is crisp and clear. Sites are pretty decently sized. Store, cafe, and boat rental are all nice touches. Lake is pretty serene before loads of day campers arrive and after they depart.Negatives: Weekends during the day get extremely crowded from 10am-5pm with day campers - honestly surprised they don't have a limit on capacity as the streets are overflowing with traffic and parked cars. Lots of big groups day camping playing very loud and obnoxious music - which doesn't really seem to fit the beauty and serenity of a mountain lake that doesn't allow power boats. I will say the day campers seemed respectful in not leaving trash for the most part. Wouldn't mind a little more regulation on music, size of groups, overall capacity for day campers, etc.

Quiet campground with plenty of trees for a hammock. The lake is busy on the weekend, but very accessible for kayaks and SUP. We enjoyed the 3 mile hike around the lake.

It’s a long, winding road with many hairpin turns to get to Lost Lake Campground. To be honest the campground is really more designed for tents than big RVs. I’d estimate 90% of the campers were in tents. However, out in H loop there is plenty of room in those sites. We had no issues at all with our 17 foot Roadtrek RV.

It’s an absolutely gorgeous campground with deep, old growth trees towering above and a delightful, well maintained pathway along the lake to take in the beauty.

That said, it was mighty crowded and down by the day sites it was a zoo. Between that and the difficulty getting there, I’d think twice before going again. Reservations are hard to come by and there is no internet reception anywhere at least not with T-Mobile).

H loop is a full miles from the main activity are, including the general store and day use sites. The campground was completely full on the weekend but quiet and private out in H loop.

Wonderful campground where we have our annual family camp. Large amp sites and plenty for the grandchildren to explore.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
