What a wonderful resort. I typically camp more primitive so all the "city life" was very distracting on the weekend, weekdays wouldn't have this experience, I imagine. The whole park was well kept, esp the vault toilets, clean and actually smelled good! The cashier at the store was Vegan, so don't ask her about anything to do with fishing, no judgment, just bring a book with information because there is no service to access regulations. Otherwise, the store was well stocked with needed supplies and having access to ice was a luxury. The lake is awesome! The wildlife is awesome, make sure to secure all food. We left out a bag of individually wrapped chocolates and in the morning a critter had left wrappers all over the place. I meant to ask, if you rent a boat for all day, can you come off the lake at your leisure all day, or do you have to stay on the lake? Can campers go out on the lake after Day use areas have closed? I'll be more prepared next time and avoid the weekend.

Our campsite was a bit away from the water & had space between our neighbors, so it was very quiet. Having 2 separate tent area in most sites is great! It did get VERY loud along the water & sites along A loop. I wish campers had more priority over lakeside areas to play in during the day. If we didn't get down to the water super early, we were likely not to be able to gain access the water at all. It was sad to see all the families paying their day use fee, then were unable to find a spot to settle in. If you were lucky enough to get a spot on the water's edge, it was beautiful. Easy access, many places to set up a picnic & chairs, ability to take kayaks/tubes out on the very peaceful lake. I love that no motors are allowed!
