The sink and urinal in the men's bathroom has been non-operational for some time and the water access in the campground also has been out for some time.

The campground was beautiful overall, and the site we were in (38) felt private and as if we had the forest all to ourselves. There was no water in our part of the campground—the faucets were out of order—but we were notified in time to be able to bring enough of our own. Overall we loved it and will definitely camp here again.

This is my second time camping at Silver Springs, both times were in summer, one year apart. The location is great - it is very close to mount rainier. And overall the place is great too, which is why I returned a year later. But this year, there was no running water at the faucets for a bunch of the campsites (the ones near campsite 38, by the river). This meant we had to walk to site 50 every time we needed water, for cooking or washing dishes. It's not too big a deal but would have been nice to be notified about it. I received multiple emails in the weeks leading to my stay reminding me of my reservation, but none of them mentioned anything about having no running water at our site.

I was able to reserve a spot directly along the river which was wonderful. Some people may have an issue that only vault toilets are in this area. The flush toilets are in the loops away from the river. In addition the potable water taps were not working near my site. (#36).

Overall its a nice location. However there were some issues I have with the owner of this particular campground. Some outfit called Mt Baker-Snoqualmie Recreation run by a Mr Eric Mart and based in (get this) PALO ALTO CA! They advertise there is water throughout the campground. Our particular loop had none due to a break. (Site 38 and immediate area). The nearest water was up in the middle of the grounds. I know stuff happens. And sometimes it takes awhile to get it fixed. But there was no notice from anyone stating there was no water. No sign on the nearby spigot saying there was no water. Certainly no sign that any plumber was looking for a water line break. We had set up an extensive site with a giant tent and only later after dinner found out about the issue. GIANT pain in the butt since we didnt bring anything to haul water in. I had a small 6-7" deep wash tub. So we drove all of our dirty dishes up to the upper loop twice a day. We were midweek camping right after Memorial Day and the campground was at less than 20% capacity. A simple heads up prior via text, email or even a note left at our site would have allowed us the option to just pick a different site with closer access. So I send in a request for a partial refund due to the inconvenience factor and Recreation.Gov said....NAH, tough titties. So if you are reserving a spot at this campground in summer 2021...you are now warned that the water spigots in the west loop numbered 35-42 are non functioning. Bring a bucket.
