Money Creek Campground is bisected by the Old Cascade Highway. The eastern half is long and narrow, sandwiched between the (low-traffic but not no-traffic) old highway and the river. There is some noise from US2 on its other side, and sites all have a nice river view but are fairly open to each other. Relatively easy access for larger trailers and RVs. The western half is a loop, more densely forested, and sites generally more private. Access a little tighter in places for the largest vehicles, but still possible. You can still hear US2 at night, but its not intrusive. And then theres the train, which you definitely should know about before you book. This is the main line between Seattle and Chicago, and a mile-long freight train slowly passes several times a day, at random times. It will blow its horn. We were in site 13, and I was dreading the train - but it wasnt that bad. It woke us at night, but not with the jarring end-of-the-world shock I expected. During the day it was intrusive for a couple mins - and then it was over and life continued. We were often out hiking so presumably missed it most times. Once you accept that trains happen, the western side of the campground is nice. Heavily treed, with that forest smell. Pit toilets and potable water typical of other national forest facilities in the Cascades. Site 13 is nicely private, with no other campers visible. Its a little open to the bathroom to its north, but more convenient than unpleasant. We fitted a large SUV and 14ft trailer on the parking pad just fine, but much longer would have required creativity. The tent pad is large, and located well back for good seclusion. Overall: went in with low expectations, they were exceeded, and we would stay there again.

The campground was beautiful my sister and brother in law enjoyed the campground for the first night I unfortunately had a medical emergency and was unable to continue our trip.

It is close to the road and to the train trailway, so it is quite noisy, but it is also close to recreation areas and easy-ish to book.
