Beautiful campground, but the train comes right through four times a night with full on whistles. No sleep for our group of 5 people; some in tents and others in an RV. Even ear plugs will not block out the roar and whistles. I would not stay again.

My friend and I, along with her 1 year old daughter, stayed 2 nights at site 12. Despite being so close to the tracks, only about 7 or 8 trains passed by the whole time we were at the site, and while 2 or 3 were suuuper long, none were loud enough to distress the baby much.
The campsites were pretty close together, you could see the neighbors but no one was very loud so it was nice and quiet. Maybe we just got lucky, but it was so peaceful, no one around got very rowdy or loud despite seeing a few families with young kids.
The bathroom was right across from us and was actually well cleaned, and the smell was only noticeable when the wind really picked up inour direction.
The mosquitoes were a bit troublesome but nothing crazy; we had spray, candles and a repellent table cloth, but still got a few bites. The baby surprisingly was the only one unscathed!
While we couldn't have a fire due to the burn ban, the pit looked great and had an angled grate that would have been great for cooking with our cast iron. We stuck with a gas stove and all was well.
It actually stormed a bit the 2nd night, and despite the crazy thunder and lightning, the rain wasn't too bad and the tress above our site really helped lighten it up.
The site was clean, decently sized, and had enough growth between sites that it didn't feel cramped or too close to others.
All in all the campground was a nice, easy and peaceful getaway. Not the best camp, but it made for a great first camping trip with the baby and would make a perfect trip for a family or first time camper! There's small shops nearby for gas, any necessities or emergency needs as well.
(There's a nearby coffee stand, one of the closest to the camp, that has an amaaazing cookies & cream frappe, by the way!)

The campground and the individual sites are very shady, which was perfect for the hot weekend we were there. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. The fire pits were good and offered a grate for cooking. The road noise (lots of honks due to the nearby tunnel)?and the train noise is definitely real. The trains come at 6pm, 9pm, 12 am and 3 am, etc.
