One of the best National Forest campgrounds we've visited. Beautiful sites, far apart, next to the river, clean vault toilets, fresh drinking water...and a wonderful, experienced host. Highest recommendations!

The camp host Jane was great! Extremely helpful and accommodating! Water is back on site so thats a huge bonus! Cant miss the broasted chicken at the Whistling Post, our favorite way to have it.

Beckler River is wonderful. Bring your own water. Ben, the 2022 host, is awesome. He is a nature lover, photographer, droner and a hardworking host. He takes care to make sure everyone feels welcome. It makes a difference. We’ll be back.

Had campsite 14, beautiful and uninterrupted view and sounds of the river day and night. No direct access, but access to the river was just a short walk in either direction. Overall, I could not have asked for a cleaner, more organized and better camping site for our tent. Camp host was extremely responsive and helped on day 1 immediately.

Beautiful! The river runs close to the campsites, and the forest provides shade and is sweetly pungent.

Great site right on the river, #14, stayed in a tent. Be aware that in high summer, there is no shade in the site from about 2pm until 6:30 pm, when the sun goes behind the mountain across the river. Relatively quiet as well, since the white noise from the little rapids on the rocks in the river drowns out the usual RV generators, music sharers, late night revelers and barking dogs.

One of our favorite campgrounds in the region. On this visit, we had to contend with off-leash dogs charging into our campsite--I wish the campground hosts were more present to address the off-leash issues. No firewood for sale, either. Water hasn't been available on any of my previous visits including this one, be sure to haul in from home.

Love to visit Beckler River Campground when the meteor showers are happening. There is a clear cut very close to camp where you can watch the stars in total darkness. The camp is quiet and soothing as you can hear the river.
