Very quiet, beautiful, clean. My daughter and I really enjoyed the experience.

Love that I was able to book my camp sight on line at the last minute. It was a really great camping spot!!

Lovely campsite, though water spigot was not working. Camp host was rude but overall nice place. Vault toilets were very clean.

We arrived at the campsite and realized the site was raked in circular patterns? The large raised tent pad's sand had raked lines too, Pebble Beach golf course meets Japanese garden? The pit toilets are the cleanest I have ever used in my many decades of car camping. We nicknamed the camp host Zen Ben, his care of the campground, and general information he provided was fantastic.

The campsites are large, well spaced and have beautiful tree cover that greatly helped keeping us cooler. Zen Ben let us know about a wonderful swimming hole just south of the picnic area from the campground entrance. The swimming hole was deep in the middle but very shallow at both ends. Wish I had a tube to float a bit, and very glad I had water shoes for the rocks. The sites along the water were nice, the one across from the main bathroom is great for those of you who have a big rig to act as a buffer between you and the bathroom. That said all the sites seemed nicely spaced from each other and the tent pads were the best I have seen.

Would strongly recommend checking out the Iron Goat Trail. If you have kids take the flat section out and back as you can see tunnels. We did the large loop and went up the steep side first and left the trekking poles in the van, and I wished I had brought them for the steeper section.

I’ve camped here before for 10+ years on and off and it’s a good location. Most recently, I’m concerned about sanitation: 1) There’s no water and seems to be the case going on months 2) Pit toilets need sanitation chemicals for the smell and stronger than usual odor 3) Campers are disrespectful of our natural resources and leave toilet paper on the trail to the river.

Checkin and checkout time needs to be enforced by camp host not campers . We waited for someone to leave our reserved site almost 2 hours after checkout time. Not that big a deal but not my job to bug someone to leave .
