The campsites are hard to tell about on the internet. Many have sloped parking areas that are not suitable for camping in a truck camper. This should be made clear on the website. For example, sloped parking area, not suitable for camper, trailer or van. The camp host is very nice and does a great job.

Its insane to me that people had bad things to say about this site my partner and I walked around and this is probably the best site on the campground! Not too far/close from the bathroom and right across from a water spigot. Only about a ~8 minute walk to the lake. The site itself is quite spacious, has a beautiful view of Mt. Shuksan and even a bit of the lake. Its tucked in the corner so youre surrounded by conifers and brush, lots of privacy. We were visited by several chipmunks, rabbits and stellar jays. The one downside of the campground (overall more so than our specific site) is that the lake access area really is more of a boat launch/parking lot than swimming area. People definitely were swimming and floating (ourselves included) but it felt like we were in the way of the boats coming in and out. It would be nice if there was a designated beach!

Space #10 6/25/23 : horrible site. Not a level spot besides where the picnic table sits. Unlevel narrow parking spot with giant boulders creates safety issue. No view.
Previous camper left diapers in site, and hot coals in fire pit. Holes dug around site, cut branches tossed about. Unavailable host. Loud camper with baby and camper next space over. Suspect diaper originators.

Why are there no BEAR PROOF GARBAGE CANS at this or any campgrounds on Baker Lake. Big dumpster overflowing and inviting bears and raccoons to a feast. If the concessionaire is going to charge $30 a night the least they can do is be BEAR SAFE. The MBS needs to get their act together fast.

This spot was so beautiful, I almost don't want to tell you about it because then I have to share! Because it's past the end of the paved road, there aren't a lot of big RV's making lots of generator noise so it's really peaceful. The sites aren't pressed right up against each other so you get some privacy. Edible berries, swimming in the lake, green everywhere... idyllic. Worth every bump in the dirt road with my loaded down car.
