This is a very nice campground. I stayed in group site C which was a really good size. It has 3 picnic tables and 1 fire pit. Bathrooms were clean and each group site had their own water spigot at your site. Downside was most of the site was paved so you couldn't stake your tent down in most spots. There were some spots you could but more that you couldn't then could. Group site C wasn't on the lake you had to walk to it. Also you were in the sun most of the day with little to no shade. Campground has a nice swimming beach and nice trees everywhere around the campground. I would definitely go back.

The lake and surrounding mountains are beautiful. We paddle boarded, kayaked and swam. We hiked part of the Baker like trail with kids. They enjoyed playing at the stream that enters the lake about 1.5 miles in. No cell service for me. I would have liked a sign showing where the group camp sites are ( on the left past the gate). Group site worked well for 4 tents and 4 cars. Next time maybe we’ll reserve a group site right on the water- although we could smell the outhouses a bit over there.

I had reserved group site C for my son’s 15th birthday the people in group A next to us were drinking every night and constantly harassing us to be quiet I even had one of them come over drunk on our last night there screaming in my face that they were going to knock me out to where I had to put my crying child in the back of my car and drive until I was able to get reception so I can call 911 for help. This was the worst camping experience I have ever had and to top it off most of the people at my site word from ages 1 1/2 to 15. We had no music just sitting around a fire making s’more’s. The Camp host let my mom stay at the Host site for free for one night because of what happened. If the host site was big enough we would’ve all stayed but because it was so small only one family was able to stay free for one night. I love horseshoe Cove and I bring my kids regularly to enjoy the lake during the summer. It really breaks my heart that these people didn’t even care that we were celebrating one of my children‘s birthday they completely ruined it and scared of my kids. Some of these kids weren’t even mine they were my sons friends whose parents drop them off for the night so I had to explain that to all the parents.
