Theres no where better to camp than Baker Lake. Weve been going there for 25+years. We havent been there in several years due to the difficulty in getting a spot and Covid. We were disappointed that #35 at Horse Shoe Cove no longer has a view or access to a private beach. That spot has always been our first choice. A little tending to and it would once again be worth $70 per night. Well probably try a cheaper spot next time.

Clean Sites, Nice Swimming Area

We love Horseshoe Cove. We were in double site 35. 2 tent pads, lots of room to sprawl, definitely enough room for another tent. No direct water access from the campsite (cliffed views). The site is downwind from the pit toilet, so we had some gross smells coming through, but overall a pleasant enough spot.
All the sites here are spacious and private, but the campground feels beautifully small. Lots of trees and shade. We were there on a M-Th and it seemed calm and relatively quiet, even at the day use area (though I could see it getting crowded on weekends). The swimming area is perfect for kids and paddle craft/floaties. It looked difficult to access the water in anything with motor, but a great launch point for canoes and kayaks.

We stayed in site 35. It was a great two tent spot with close proximity to the water. Very quiet at night. Down sides are it’s on a busy street ( lots of day use traffic), no view of the water despite its proximity to water, close to toilet which is a pro and a con because sometimes you can smell it. No one cleaned the toilet while we were there which was surprising and it got a little gross after a busy weekend.
