Had RV, and dumping station was closed.
But other than that, everything was pretty normal as any other campground.

Such a great place to camp to be able to do so much hiking. The campground is very nice and quiet.

We always love our stays at Cougar Rock Campground. The sites are nice and big albeit not all that level or flat. They are manageable.
It was very uncrowded due to the closure of so many camp sites for downed trees and closure of A Loop entirely. It was a quiet and restful trip to the mountain!
We hiked up around Paradise which was beautiful and warm this year. The smoke from wildfires came the next day and held the temps at bay. The Nisqually River as running high and fast because of the heat and glacial melt. Amazing crossing at the log bridge!

Tightly packed campsites with multiple downed/hazardous trees minimizing available sites. Our restroom was closed so we had to walk to adjacent loop. Generator hours were a mystery until we found them on the back of White River camping brochure.

Stayed at Cougar Rock on non-consecutive nights last week. We were in Loop D and took the short walk to the Wonderland Trail by the Nisqually River. Found a quiet, secluded place to watch the sunset on Rainier - it was breath-taking! One of our favorite campsites from our trip.

There are no dump stations in Mt. Rainier National Park. That is a great inconvenience for us since we are older with some disabilities. To stay in the park the 4 nights reserved, we had to make a 30 mile round trip with our trailer outside the park to find a dump station. The ranger said they had not been available for two years. Is there a reason you are not fixing the dump stations?

Much deferred maintenance. Many campsites closed and loop A closed due to tree hazards. Much work needs to be done to clear the camp and completely open it. However, our campsite was nice.

The campground was basic but beautiful. The host was extremely helpful and pointed us in the right direction for hikes and activities. I have two children under 7 and our hike to Carter Falls was awesome. The falls were raging in early June!
