Camp host was super friendly and welcoming. Site was nice and spacious and met all our needs. The only issue we had was a number of other campers in the area walking through the campsite to get to the lake, including ones with unleashed dogs.

While the camping was fine, the camp host (camping in Montana for free, from Texas) was an absolute nightmare! We reserved our group spot in February and were then told that we could not have the number of sleeping units that we initially made the reservations for, 6 months previously. The group spot holds 50 people and we were told we could only have 5 sleeping units. When we questioned this he told us that he did not care what the website said when we reserved, that there was absolutely not going to be more than 5 sleeping units allowed. Please someone explain to me how a spot that is for use by 50 Individuals can only have 5 sleeping units. Meanwhile there was way more than 50 people and over 16 sleeping units in another group use spot. Th camp host was absolutely rude and an out of stater telling people who actually pay taxes in this state how to enjoy our great out doors. Will never camp here again, or recommend to anyone for that matter. Maybe he should pay more attention to the cars speeding through the area, than families trying to spend time together in the great Montana outdoors.

The camp ground is nice. HOWEVER the website is VERY MISLEADING!!! This is listed as a camp site for 50 people. We had 44 people which ended up being about 10 tents and 5 campers. The camp host was shocked and upset. Apparently they expected only 5 sleeping units. Even though the campsite is for 50 people. They did allow us to stay but let us know that in the future it would only be five sleeping units. Which means we CANNOT use them in the future. This was a family reunion and it is unreasonable to have a campsite listed for 50 people and expect them to have only 5 sleeping units. The pavilion is huge and easily accommodated our group but i have no idea how they would want us to accommodate 50 of us in 5 sleeping units. That's ridiculous. Several different family units and each needs their own privacy.
