We enjoyed our stay at Devil's Elbow - great view of the lake from our site. Close enough to Helena to enjoy the city but feel like we were camping in the outdoors. Lots of beautiful scenic drives nearby.

Enjoyed our time here. Large spacious sites. The bathrooms were well maintained. It was pretty quiet after hours. No mosquitoes at all which is a huge plus! The only disappointment was the swim area. It was Very small and the water was murky and scum covered. It looked questionable enough that we didnt let our son swim.

Didn't have the best of experience with this campground. We found the host was very strict on the making sure we knew all the campground rules and they were adhered to during our 1 night stay, especially picked on the fact we had a small dog. The other reason was due to the weather which we understand isn't the fault of the host or the campground. This location is very open to the elements - extreme wind comes off the lake which makes tenting here unbearable. Would be nice to have trees for shade, wind breakers or to hang clothing lines to dry towels. Their is no privacy between sites and you can hear conversations 3 or 4 sites over without even trying. Guessing this campground would be okay if your staying in an RV and are only here on the short term but I wouldn't recommend for those in tents.
