Beautiful grounds with nice spacious sites. The only critique I have is that there should be more posted information. The locations to get water to fill up RV tanks should be obviously marked and mapped. There should be more campground maps including the trails like the one that leads to the nearby store for necessities and wifi.

Great location for visiting different sites around the area such as Spruce Knob, Seneca Rocks and Dolly Sods. The campground was well maintained and offered a quiet stay. The only thing we didn't like was the push-button knob for the showers. I know it is for conservation, but it stinks having to keep pushing the button multiple times.

They need better pictures of the sites. Host were great. The showers are good with hot water but on timer.

Very nice campground. Bathrooms and showers clean. Stayed in electric site and then non-electric site. All nice. Must see Seneca Rock and Spruce Knob. Beautiful.

C loop camp sites were spacious, very well-shaded, and clean - my only very minor complaint is that potable water is only available at the restrooms, not at your individual site. But don't let that put you off; you will be so snug and happy in your little corner of heaven that you'll eventually forget about this tiny inconvenience :) Stargazing and bird-watching were top-notch. Check-in was easy, the restrooms were clean and the shower water was delightfully warm, and we really loved strolling up the Sunrise Trail at sunset (counterintuitively enough) to see the rocks lit up. My in-laws report that weekend evening programming at the amphitheater was great fun, quizzing and concert-going alike. There is no cell phone reception anywhere in this campground, and you should be prepared to drive for a bit if you want longer hikes than the Seneca Rocks trail -- Spruce Knob is about a half-hour away from point to point and it's a must-see if you're interested in backcountry and/or stunning views (go to the Spruce Knob overlook for a breathtaking experience). I haven't camped a lot in West Virginia and I'm starting to see that I should change that, as we've had nothing but wonderful times so far. 10/10 recommend Seneca Shadows if you want to unplug and forget about the world for a little while.

Campsites were excellently maintained with a large sturdy table, hook post, and designated tent leveled tent area with smaller stone. Each site had larger stone/gravel as ground cover. Fire pits were well maintained, but cooking grates are non-adjustable and extremely low (less than 12inches from ground), so be prepared. Water source is on the side of the fountain outside each bathhouse (hose spigot) as is gray-water dump area. There is a great path (sunrise trail) that leads up to a clearing and overlook of Seneca Rocks with two benches and a picnic table. Better at sunset or at night for stargazing. No hiking trails directly connect to the site, so be prepared to drive to each trailhead. This also means less concern/worry about thru-hikers going through camp. There is no cell coverage, so be map ready before you arrive. Bath houses are 1 single-temp shower stall, 1 sink, and 2 toilets (1 toilet 1 urinal for men). During our visit the bathroom where in a horrid condition cleanliness-wise and maybe checked-on/superficially cleaned 1x in 4 days. This is the only area the site needs signification improvement. It was glorious to have quiet nights and no generators running or disturbing things. One last side note, circle C has electrical hookup posts, currently they have 15A (normal USA household electrical plug), 30A RV hookup, and they are in the process of rolling out 50A RV hookup connections (plug was installed but not activated). If wanting power at your picnic table, bring a 50ft extension cord to reach between the power post and the tables. This side can fully support EVSE charging as long as you bring the correct charging adapter for your Level 2 charger!!

This is such a beautiful location and camping area. Our campsite was as promised, and it was almost completely level for our 21' camper van. Anything longer would be on an incline. Since this was our very first night camping in an RV, we might not have a great POV, but we had a good experience building a campfire and hooking up the electric. The very clean bath house was not too far to walk from our site, so that made life simpler, too. Firewood bundles were $7, and surprisingly, to use the dump facility, it was also $7. Even though the drive into the park from the entrance is quite long, the drive to Seneca Rocks from the entrance is quite close. Overall, it was a very good first night RV'ing.

This would be a 5 star review. It is an absolutely beautiful campground in a very beautiful area. Didn’t see a single campsite I wouldn’t want to stay at. They loose a star for difficult water access and a terrible dump station that they charge extra for. I would go a step further and say the dump station is in useable. These are easy fixes that need to be made.
