Very clean and maintainedI wish the web sight had pictures of the sights so you can make a better selection but this is true with most Recreation.gov camp ground web sites

The campground was great. It was also empty during our late-June visit. We were able to change our reserved tent campsite on arrival, which was great. The location and availability of water was wonderful. We will return.

Mostly quiet and peaceful campground. Cooler summer temperatures at this higher elevation.

Great spot to spend a weekend. Excellent facilities, easy to access potable water. Clean large campsites.

The campground is quite large and the sites are spread out which offers a sense of privacy. I chose a walk up site as I was traveling light. If you have a family and lots of gear I suggest you not choose a WKUP site. There's several restroom (upscale outhouse) locations convenient to any site you choose. After visiting a few I found them to be clean and supplied with toilet tissue and hand sanitizer. It rained almost all day the entire time I was there so I did not use the fire pit. Firewood was available for purchase but I thought the pre-packaged bundles were rather small. The picnic table was quite large but it fit nicely under my 10'x10' canopy. The tent pad was satisfactory. My only gripe...during the day some campers felt it necessary to serenade everyone with music and they seemed unaware or did not care about intruding on other folks solitude.Overall I had a pleasant time and enjoyed the campground.

looked to cancel our reservation because of terrible weather - were ok with not getting complete refund- but couldnt even get any refund because of website glitch problems. No big deal. But whatever.

Awesome campground near Spruce Knob lake and Spruce Knob. Very clean pit toilets, plenty of firewood available for sale, friendly neighbors. This has become an annual trip for me and my buddy. Highly recommended, especially as an escape from hotter weather at lower elevations.

Nice campground, bugs weren't too bad and the tent area was nice and flat. Nice firepits too.

Great location! Been returning year after year. Always clean. Last year's temperature broke 80 degrees F. Lake is a short walk from campground. The new campground host, Amber, She is always there to help.

I've been going to Spruce Knob Lake Campground for 30 years and the campground itself is maintained nicely and the camp supervisor did her job well keep in the bathrooms clean and organized in the trash picked up. It is definitely busier now than it ever has been! It went from a hardcore camper hiker location to a tourist attraction which most things do eventually.

site #11 is rather small not really suitable for a 30" trailer as claimed or you will be in a bad slope and have no space left for the tow vhc. I had a 15ft trailer and was just fitting in there. The campground was clean and pleasant.

Super close to spruce knob lake and pretty close to the Spruce Knob summit. Bathrooms were super clean for what they are. Only downside was the site got a bit muddy, but it did rain a lot while we were there.

I had a wonderful experience at Spruce Knob Lake Campground. The camp host was very attentive, drove around checking on everyone multiple times throughout the day. Firewood was available for purchase. The reserved sites each had nice platforms for tents. The walk-in sites may have you walk up some stairs but for the most part were pretty close to parking and looked private. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this campground to family/friends.

Great car camping site. Clean and spacisous, not too close to other site but more than enough room for 2 tents and a nice open area to cook and eat. Clean bathrooms but no lights. Could be better if the water was filtered for refilling water packs.

The host was welcoming. She helped me find some local hikes and let me know about the meteor shower!

Host was wonderful. Park kept up. Best place to camp if you are a tent camper. There is not any hook ups so you get to really enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.

The new camp manager, Lana, is a delight. She had everything in working order. And the campsite was clean when we arrived. Toilets were completely stock with tissue paper and hand sanitizer.

Lena was a great host and the sites are nice and level. The four roads in are a mix of paved and gravel. All of them are very narrow in places and it would be hard to negotiate with oncoming vehicles if you are a wide Rv or travel trailer. We have a large truck and pull a 25 ft camper and felt lucky to not come across an other vehicle on the narrow parts of the roads. The roads are in generally decent shape but I don’t recommend a fifth wheel or travel trailer unless small like a teardrop or pop up style. It’s doable but…. Tents, class B or teardrop/ pop ups would have no problems.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
