Rick and his wife take care of the camp ground were super nice and helpful. My campsite was very well taken care of. Will definitely be back.

We had a great visit to Big Bend campground 9/13 - 9/16! The camp hosts, Debbie and Jean, were some of the friendliest and helpful people we have ever met. The campground was clean along with the showers (free!) and bathrooms (besides the spiders but that's camping). There is a water and dump station at the entrance of the campground with individual water spigots located around the campground. The only reason I'm giving my experience a 4/5 is because site number 3 is near a pit toilet which was smelly depending on which way the wind was blowing (but it was in pristine condition!). Of note, it takes about 20-30 minutes to drive the canyon road to the campground since it's windy, narrow and not paved at parts. Will definitely be back!

This experience was one of the worst. The noise lasted all night. People were moving in and setting up with their diesel trucks at 3am. I left a day early to avoid the noise. Forgiving the 40min drive down a background. The campground was soo noisy. Not relaxing at all.

This has become our most favorite campground. The campsites are not right on top of each other so you have enough space and you cant hear your neighbors every word.The hosts Debbie and Gene do a great job keeping the bathrooms and showers clean and are very helpful. We will be going back several times a year.

Was wonderful to go inner tubing with my son. We climbed the hill twice to go around the bend again and again (no need to be picked up). And landed finally at the beach in front of your camping spot. Well maintained by friendly folks.

I camped at Big Bend site #3. great location. easy access to the river, rest rooms. The hosts were very helpful and interesting to meet and talk with.
I love the senior parks pass discount. I'll be back.

Great campground along the S Branch of the Potomac. However, invasives have overrun the area; Japanese Stiltgrass and Autumn Olive are very prevalent. The Camp Host explained to us that former owners in the 20th century planted Autumn Olive. The Japenese Stiltgrass has populated the area since then.

Perfect Campground!!! We stay here 4-5 times a year and it is the greatest place weve camped in years. Rafting and fishing is always great! Always see Bald Eagles in the canyon.

Fantastic scenery, excellent tubing, wonderful large campsites. Shreve's store was closed so it is a one hour plus round trip to get more ice for your cooler.
