What a fabulous camp ground! We loved everything about it! We had spot #2 right by the river and it was perfect, I can't recommend it enough. It was large enough for multiple tents and was envelope a canopy of trees, so lots of shade. There was a short trail leading down to the river, which was beautiful. There were three deer that seemed to live in are camping spot. We saw them everyday, they never were scared of us. They would walk up so close! We had no issues with the camp host, as others have mentioned, only seeing him once upon our first arrival. Our favorite part of camping here was tubing the river. We got right in at our spot and tuned down to the parking lot. You get out there and go to the right up the hill before getting back in the river to continue back to our camping spot. Not too long down that way you will find the rope swing on your right. Our 4 kids had a blast and it was plenty deep in that area. I can't recommend this campground enough!

The campground was absolutely beautiful! Well maintained, with each site tuck into nature! The host was very helpful and friendly; the bathrooms and showers were clean & always stocked. It was our first trip to Big Bend and our family enjoyed every minute of getting off the grid and basking in the beauty of the mountains of WV! Highly recommend!

The sites were great, but not as close to the water as the map while making reservations would lead you to believe.

The camp host was exceedingly rude. Gave our respectful group a hostile warning about being loud at night, and charged $8 per car for every night. This was not detailed ahead of time. He also made us move our cars when we didn't need to and made other rude comments mostly to the campers of a certain gender.
