Beautiful quiet campground with many spacious sites. Well kept and the camp host was super kind and helpful. Nice swimming area at the river. Only thing lacking, in my childrens opinion, is there is no playground area. We will camp here again!

Camp sites are very nice, spacious in rhododendron. Paved sites, some have a drop off. All bathrooms are pit toilets except the main bath house, which has showers (it could be a little more up to date). Quite. Next to the recreation area, which has big fields and near river. Host very helpful.

The park is beautiful and the pavilion was perfect for our event.

We had our company picnic at the large pavilion. The grounds are well kept and the staff was very helpful. There was plenty of space for our large group. Definitely recommend!

The Stuart Recreation campground is well maintained with plenty of trees for privacy between each site. Each site has electric and there are plenty of water faucets. The Day use park is beautiful. It has a small sand beach with bath house--3 covered pavilions to rent and plenty of single picnic tables through out plus fishing in the river. Elkins is just a short drive from the campground.

We love Stuarts Park. It offers very private sites with a little bit of adventure for everyone. My son and I hiked the River Loop trail twice. My husband and son enjoyed fishing in the stream. Plus, we enjoyed running around with the dog in the large flat field. It was the perfect three day weekend spot to relax. We will be back.

Beautiful area, nice and quiet and the camp host was very friendly. We showed up with no reservations, picked a spot right up front and was welcomed by the host. We would gladly stay here again.

Campground host was awesome. The comfort station in the campground is overdue for upgrades but the vault toilets were all nicely maintained and clean. Would return anytime!

Stuart campground was very nice. The campers were all well behaved and the campground was very quite. Stuart campground is located close enough to Elkins, WV to get anything you needed such as fuel, repairs and supplies without being too close to the campground.

The camping are was in excellent condition as was all the facilities. Clean , well maintained with great privacy between sites. Camp Host was friendly, professional and justifiably proud about about a camping area that excelled in all areas.

So peaceful and quiet. A great place to stay and get back to nature. I was amazed at the big trees and lush greenery. So beautiful. I hope to be back at Stuarts one day.

Tha pavilion is small, but manageaeble for about 20 people under cover. More if it isn't raining. No close parking, so be prepared to haul your stuff and no close restroom, so plan ahead. Suart Rec Area is a great space.

We were in site 10, which shows as a double site 99' long. It was the first time I had seen a double site that was not side by side. Whoever gets here first, will be the last to leave as the side is set up to park in a single row. This site is not 99' long. I could only measure it by stepping it off, but I would guess it is 85" long. I wish the Forest Service had photos of the sites on their reservation page. The campground is very nice and be sure to visit the recreation area by the water

Stuart's is a beautiful park with a friendly host. However, the need for maintenance is very apparent. The sites need gravel. Some sites have steep drop off's from the paved pads. The bath houses are in need of updating/maintenance. The water issue needs fixed. Water pressure is down and it's obvious. Fix the problem.

Loved our site. Staff was friendly. Only thing was, the automatic light in womans restroom was too quick. I was left in the dark in the shower!

The area is in the Monongahela Forest and full of history. It is beautiful, the laurel were blooming and gorgeous. The recreation area is large, nice, picnic areas, swimming hole and awesome fishing of the lower Shavers Fork. There are trails around and lots of back road driving opportunities. Bickle Knob Lookout is close. Wild raspberries blooming in multiple areas. Lots of wildlife! Beautiful night sky! The campground is clean, plenty of gravel to prevent mud holes and flooding of the sites. They have blacktop areas to park the campers, designated tent area if desired, stable picnic tables, deep fire pits and lantern holders in each site. Privacy in between campsites. Conjoining sites if desired when traveling in groups. The campground was quiet and peaceful during our stay. The site is black topped and safe for bike riding. If traveling with children, there is no designated areas for them to play or a playground of any kind. Only negative I see.

Site 4 is very level and can’t find a better, more willing to assist and knowledgeable camp host!

This place has gone way downhill. No running water and the bathroom toilets were overflowing.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
