The sites are nice and roomy, clean grounds, easy to set-up camper. This was our first visit and sure to visit again next spring. How early in 2024 can I book for campsites?

Large flat sites with full hook ups. Most have some shade. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Public bathrooms were clean, but showing their age. Only negative is we had to drive up near Sam A. Baker to find a spot to cool off in the water. We originally booked in September hoping for cooler weather and it was 97 degrees on one of days and 95 on the other.

Nice, quiet campground with many historic walking & bike trails. Many sites are spacious & shaded. St. Francois River is accessible from the boat launch area & great for kayaking. Easy bike path into the town of Greenville, where you'll find several great stores & restaurants.

My wife's car was setting to far on the grass. We were told to move it yet they had no problem with the neighbors boat completely on the grass. Stupid rule

This is our favorite campground. We go quite a bit because…. Reasons: full hook-up, well maintained, biking is easy, kid and family friendly, price is right, large lots - not cramped, well shaded, spaces are level with large concrete pads, fire pit, fishing and boat dock at camp, nice tables, good cellphone reception, friendly camp hosts as well as Corp personnel - always helpful ….. everything.

We bike a lot and there’s a bike trail to Greenville with a wonderful snack/burger shack. Local grocery (Richards) has a great selected and the cheapest propane around. Frank’s store has a good selection of camping gear and outdoor stuff and games.

The only thing missing is a swimming area, but people bring boats and kayaks to go out to sand bars to swim.

Our FAVORITE spot to go to get away. Out of 5 stars, it gets an 8 (no swimming area).

Campground is very clean, especially restrooms. We were there for the Black Powder Rendevous, so it was crowded, but surprisingly quiet in the evenings. Love the large, concrete pads on each campsite and full hook-ups are a plus! Bike trail was the best feature - can ride all the way into the town of Greenville on paved path through the woods for a nice, cool ride. Can't wait to return!
