No shade at this site! The description for this campsite (#39) is NOT accurate. While most all of the others campsites have several trees, this one doesnt have even 1.Also, the restrictions are quite a long distance from this area. If you dont have a bike, youll be walking a ways up the road.Now for the positives. Mill Creek is nice and quiet, clean facilities, showers have perfect temp and pressure, campsites are right on the waters edge. Just walk down the hill to put in your kayak or paddle board.Btw, supermarket is just 6 mins. away back over the bridge.I will be coming back for sure. Just not at campsite #39

One of the most beautiful campsites we have used. Lots of space. Campground was quiet. Boat ramp was in the campground less than 800 feet away. Bathrooms and bath house were very clean.

Beautiful location at site 42 right on the water, with good space between RVs. Quiet and clean. We loved sitting by the fire at night- it was a relaxing time!

Wonderful campground. We stayed in site #46. The only issue was that it was very hot that week and that particular site gets no afternoon shade. Otherwise, fantastic.

The camp host were never around!!!! The bathroom were not kept clean! Our camp wasnt cleaned up before we arrived Trash and rock on our site !!! Also the camp host never spoke when we got our tag !!! No thank you, have a good week nothing!!!!! Very rude !!! If you dont like what youre doing then go find something else to do!!!! Also on site 3 there is a very dead tree!!!! I understand if it fell on our new truck or our camper the camp is not liable !!!!! You better believe we would be pressing charges if that tree landed on our truck or our camper it needs to be removed ASAP!!!!!!!! We love Mill Creek and this is the only time I have left a bad review!!!!!!!

When you have look for someone to refill the toilet paper in the restrooms, you're not going to have a good day. Having to do this once is bad enough, over the period of our stay we had to FIND someone to fill the paper several times. We were not aware of a TP shortage but evidently there must be one. Not only did they (?) not keep the paper stocked but the trash cans seemed to be full almost all the time.Other than having to pack your own paper to the latrine, like we used to do on Boy Scout camp outs, we had a good time.

Good campground but there was no trees because one was cut down and it let most of the days sun come on
@KevinW7927630 · Camped on Aug 1, 2025 at Campsite #54
Mill Creek is fantastic; every site is worth the trip. Site 54 was extra special: huge driveway and the gigantic lakeside area is gently sloping, lots of privacy and tons of room between sites. We did not find a single thing to dislike. We will go back as soon as we can.

Site 19 has a great view of the lake and beach. Back window view was great. The campsites on the peninsula were all closed. Not sure if it was from the recent flooding or not enough staff. Campground is close enough to drive to Kimberling City for groceries. Be sure to drive down to Hwy 86 and over to Persimmon Hill Farm for awesome bakery items. Site 17 would have a wonderful view if you have driver side windows in your camper. Dump station could be set up better for draining.

The campground itself wasn't too bad, but there had been no mowing done for at least a month. The extremely tall grass made the entire place look messy and unkept. Our other negative issue was that additional vehicles and boat trailers were parked along the sides of the narrow roadway inside the campground. The campground attendants must have allowed that, because nobody was ever asked to move those extra cars/trucks/trailers that were not in designated camping sites. We were there for 4 nights and the campground officials never once drove around to check on anything or anyone. When it was time for us to leave our spot, we had to knock on doors and ask people to move their extra vehicles out of the way so that we could pull out. We were totally blocked in.

I'm sure other CoE parks are the same now, but the lack of personnel and services really effects the experience in a negative way. The park attendant who is left is great, but only available a few days a week. Tall grass wasn't mowed, and I have the bug bites to prove it.

Sites were clean restrooms clean. Easy access for RVs Boats and campers Shade in almost all the spaces. The sites have fire pit/ grill. They are low on the ground. Bring a grill topper!! Otherwise you will loose your food thru grill top they have. We were there when part of it was still under water from the flooding. So the public access picnic tables and grills were still under water. Since public access wasnt available we spent the $25 for a site. It was well worth it!!

was in site 7 and got kicked out due to flooding.

This is a very quiet campground. We stayed in site 8 which is a back in site with water and electric. All sites have a water view. The shower house was very clean. Grounds were well maintained.

The campground itself was beautiful and our site #50 was great. However, the whole experience was spoiled by how an evacuation was handled when the lake level rose quickly. I understand that the evacuation was necessary, but it was handled poorly. We were told by email on a Saturday afternoon at 3:56pm that we would have to leave the site that day. We were five minutes from leaving for the evening to go into Branson for dinner and entertainment. I normally do not look at email all day long and since the lake had not risen even close to our site, was not expecting anything. I just happened to look, and we called the front gate who had no knowledge of the email or the evacuation at that point. We then tried to book a site on the upper loop of the campground, and we found a site for the next 3 days, but the reservation system would not allow me to use my America the Beautiful Pass, probably because it had already been used for the original reservation for these days. I went ahead and booked at full price but was told by COE people at the site that I would most likely be refunded. On the 2nd day of the next site, we saw a ranger knocking on doors of other campers telling them they were being evacuated, but they did not come to our site. Once again I got an email later that day and was told to evacuate. Not a good way to handle. I still haven't heard anything regarding my refund request that was said to have to be handled by "site management" and it has been a week. We love COE campgrounds, and this has been our first bad experience.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
