Baxter Campground is located in the Ava/Cassville/Willow Springs Ranger District, Mark Twain National Forest (1 hr 31 min east of Rogers, AR) with an elevation of 932 feet. There are a total of 53 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to mid September. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 30 and 102 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 49 sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $16.00 to $25.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, playground, boat ramp, swimming, marina, flush toilets. Activities include biking, boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

Thoroughly enjoyed camping at Baxter Campground. Impressed that the crew evidently cut the downed wood and left it stacked at most every site. It was quiet, peaceful & beautiful.

Second visit to Baxter. In site 38 this time. The park is well kept, restrooms and showers always clean. The site is directly under the power lines so I wouldnt choose it again but I had a fantastic 6 days anyway. One of my favorite campgrounds. Highly recommend.

Nice campground. Park Host Barbara was friendly and helpful, and answered all our questions. The custodian (Mike) was helpful also, and the bathrooms were kept tidy and clean. The swimming area is big with picnic tables nearby. While there is gravel leading TO the water, once you're in the water, the rocks are treacherous. I've been to nearby COE swimming areas that have gravel past the waterline (like Aunts Creek), which makes it much easier and enjoyable to swim. Please do the same at the Baxter campground!

This was an absolutely beautiful spot. It was clean and easy to get into although it wouldn't handle an RV much if any larger than our 25' View. Even though it was right next to the swimming beach and close to the marina, it was quiet. We will return to Baxter Campground for more camping!

My first time Raving so I chose Baxter because it was close enough and looked stunning in the pictures. I was not disappointed in anything about this park. Its well-maintained, the sites have a perfect sized pad, picnic table and fire pit. Site 39 has beautiful views from under your awning! I walked this campground a lot over 3 days and I think 39 is in the top 3 for ease of access and view. Love my experience thereeveryone so friendly and Mike takes care of everything. Really enjoyed speaking with himhes a wealth of information. I appreciate his tips to me as a new RVer. 5 Star experience. Ill be back to stay again soon.

I absolutely love this campground! The location is ideal if you want to go to Silver Dollar City. Marina is next door. Beautiful location, lots of trees. The park grounds keeper l, Mike is extremely helpful and friendly. He helped us out at least twice when we had trouble with our rv.

Camp hosts were great. Do not book this site if your camper is over 35. We tried for 30 minutes to get into this site with our 40 fifth wheel. Ended up having to leave and drive 1.5 hours to another spot. Core really needs to update this site listing and description.

There was hardly anyone in the campground. Probably because of the weather and kids not out of school. Very pretty and clean. Definitely will go again to Baxter.

Space 34 is difficult to enter/exit for large vehicles because it is at a 90 degree angle to the road and it should be noted on the site description. Campground is very well maintained but the host was a little pushy.

All was very good. Great friendly and helpful person in the entry house. Unfortunately it was the last day that they were open, or we would have stayed longer.

Our camp spot was right next to the swimming area which was great. Great view of the lake, relatively close to the bathroom and being on a weekday, it was quiet. We didn't do this, but it's close to Dogwood Canyon, Kimberling City, etc. A very good, relaxing experience.
