Bucksaw is one of our favorite places. The lake was very high so there was no using the beach. Facilities were clean, but could use some paint. Camp hosts were very friendly. We would like to see Pickleball Courts at all Corps of Engineer sites. Please

Stayed in site 39, loop B. Spacious and clean site with beautiful views of the lake. This was our fourth trip and will return. Be aware that phone signals for streaming (ATT & Verizon) are spotty, but we always had phone service for incoming and outgoing calls.

We stayed in B loop and our site was right by the water. We loved the view out our windows every day because you looked right out across the lake. However, because our site was near the water and a few campsites down from the swim beach, people walked through our campsites at all times of the day to get to the water/beach. The beach was very crowded during the hot days while we were there and the sound of talking, laughing, screams carried to our camp site from about 10am to twilight so around 8:30pm. So, there was no peacefulness sitting outside the camper. There was lots of family groups around us with lots of kids and we would hear the kids laughing and making noise well past the quiet hours, and we were inside our hard shelled camper with the air conditioner running. Also, trash from a neighboring campsite blew into our campsite (this is actually the first time we've ever had this happen; usually people are very good about cleaning up after themselves at COE campgrounds we've stayed at). We also had limited to no cell service (Verizon). The bathrooms were okay. The short trail on the property was not maintained and nothing really to see except trees. We saw several deer when we walked around the campground and found ourselves on a paved road with no camp sites (maybe a past sites area?). We only saw the camp hosts once driving around in their golf cart/ATV. Overall, we feel that this was more late night party central than relaxing weekend. We did walk around Loop A and it seemed quieter.
