Overall nice, but a bit difficult to find a spot for a tent, since most spots are meant for RVs. We were woken up by the noise of several workers mowing the lawn at 7am, which is not quite ok for a relaxing camping experience out in nature. Pieces of grass got all over our tent and things left outside. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

The power went out twice during our stay. It doesnt appear to have any camp hosts yet there does appear to have people who are permanent campers. Whether they are the camp volunteers or not I have no idea. But they did not appear to be camp hosts. Local sheriff deputy staying in the campground was nice to see. The showers by us had no hot water. Some shower houses completely closed and run down. The sites are nice, level, and spacious. Not the best COE weve been to, but not the worst. Glad we had our generator, some did not and were not happy.

The campground was nice, only issue was a camp host having a pit bull outside without a leash or supervision. They were by the bathroom next to site 38 I think. Another camper at site 74 or 73 thought it was OK to have 2 small dogs loose and they nearly attacked me when I was walking my dog. Besides that it was a nice campground.

Not much to do around the area but if you had a boat fishing could be a good.

Site 25. Camp was awesome. I love, love, love how much space you have. So many campsites where you're packed in and it's like never getting to leave a city but not here. Plenty of breathing room. Pretty views, bathroom and shower houses were decent; lots of bugs in the light fixtures and spider webs in corners and rafters - nothing unexpected for the outdoors but what it has that others do not is air conditioning. Been to many sites where their facility houses are not air conditioned and, it's the outdoors in the summer so of course it's hot and sweaty - you wash off a bit and start sweating again. It was so nice to actually be able to shower in cool air and feel clean for a while after a long, hot day of hiking, swimming, or whatever you're doing. The South Public Beach area however is a completely different story. Maybe because you pay for campsite and don't for the free public use area they don't clean as much but beach was FULL of trash; broken glass, dirty diapers, bottles, cans, shoes, food bags, on and on. And the bathrooms; nope. Not just disgusting but downright unusable! Women's bathroom, ever single stall was full to brim with feces and overflowing. Literally blood splattered on light fixtures (ranger might want to seriously check in on that!), urine on floors where people just decided it was too gross to sit on an overflowing toilet so they just pee in corner of stall floor is what it looked like. I've never seen anything so nasty and unsanitary in my life. For real; that HAS to get cleaned up. My husband and brother both said the men's was just as bad. So definitely stick to swimming in the lake around the camp sites and using the facilities there because God only knows what you'll contract using the others.

A really pretty campground. Lots of trees. Good sized sites - most with at least a view of the water and many near the water. We had a site right on the water and really enjoyed our stay. We are going back to the same site on our return home trip in a couple of months and we are looking forward to it.

Decent site, no shade but right on the water so the view is beautiful and makes up for it.

Beautiful campground on a large reservoir. Sites are very large and comfortably spread out. Very rural and a bit of a drive to get to the campsite.

The site set up was not great -you had to walk around rock embankment to get to your picnic table. The grass was not cut to get to the firepit and there was evidence of prior occupants on the ground and around site.

Everything was great, but the bath house by us was terribly dirty and most toilets were out of order.

We have been here many times now and always enjoy ourselves. This is our favorite place to camp. It is convenient to where we live so we don't have to travel far to get there but it feels like we are far away from home. It is always clean (including the bathrooms) and we have never had any issues with any of the other campers. My grandchildren love it and we appreciate everything that you do to keep it peaceful and safe.
