I was traveling and only intended to stay one night, but it was so beautiful I stayed another day. I saw a beavers, Water Birds, and playful squirrels around the campsite. In the distance barges loaded with cargo were traveling the historic Waterway. Like most all Corps of Engineers parks the sights are level and clean. I plan on staying there again on my return trip.

There are a variety of camping spots...some waterfront and others in wooded areas. We have usually been able to secure a waterfront spot. We always feel safe leaving our camper, chairs, etc to go walking or to the store. There are several bath houses close to the campers in each campground. The park hosts are always very friendly.

I was motorcycle camping, stopped for one night. Campground was clean and quiet. My site was right by the lake. I will be staying longer next time.

Beautiful campground. We loved our site with a lake view. The campground attendants were super nice! We will be returning!
