Piney Grove is a very lovely campground. Mature trees, nice asphalt roads throughout, easy access to the water for fishing (on piers or from the bank), and a well maintained beach provide for an overall good experience. Be aware there is no Wi-Fi at the site, although there used to be. We brought along a Wi-Fi device I purchased online and still was not able to get onto the internet on my phone. For me, that is a big deal since I have to do a limited amount of work while I'm camping. I find most of the camp hosts to be friendly and responsive to questions. (A few are not as friendly and helpful as most.)

Not a good camping spot . This was our first summer camping and I hope we can find some place better for next summer.They really need to get the laundromat opened back up too.

This is a very nice campground. I love the view from almost every site. The roads are in good condition. The camp sites are all in good condition. The only drawbacks are the aging power connections and the condition of the bathrooms & showers. They could really use some updating and the showers could have been cleaner and better stocked.

Piney Grove is our "go-to" vacation spot. The park is always well maintained. Upgrades have been happening over the past few years which keep sites open and usable. Wish there still spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. Love having a Golden Age card. Makes things so much easier on the pocketbook.

We love Piney Grove because it is close to home and offers relaxation, fishing, swimming, boating, and plenty of walking. It's a laid back atmosphere. There is the Martyville Cafe to the north and Crow's Restaurant to the south. If you're lucky, you can witness a vessel proceeding through the lock which is to the south of the camp ground connected to the Bay Springs Lake.

This specific site was where my family often stayed when I was a kid. I wanted to bring my girls to experience my favorite campground. It was just as I remembered. Plenty of shade and so much room to run around and play hide & seek. Also a great, sandy spot to swim without having to go over to the beach. This site will be hard to beat! We'll definitely be back!

We camp here several times a year. Great place. Friendly staff. Nice sites. Only down side right now is beach area is closed. Nice large picnic areas for large gatherings.
