We love coming to Piney Grove at Bay Springs Lake. We have been coming for over 20 years. The ground staff is always friendly and eager to help with any questions or concerns. We do wish they would re-open the washing machine room to us campers. When we stay for more than a weekend it would be nice to have that amenity back.

We were at site 16 in early April. Great campground well maintained and managed. Most if not all sites are better suited for trailers and RVs not the usual tent pads we experience in NF CGs so if you have a tent you have to be a little more selective on you sites. Also, some sites are very close - so again be selective. Many waterfront sites. Bathrooms very clean. While the CG was full, it not noisy. Definitely worthy a stay. Dont buy firewood from Burton One Stop down the road

Pleasant lake site camping area with large sites... Hiking trails are well maintained and follow the lake shoreline.

This is the cleanest campground we have ever been to. Everything is immaculate, and mowed to perfection.

This is a beautiful campground! We were welcomed by friendly folks. Our campsite was on the water and easy to back in to. It was very quiet. It is quite a distance from anything but great if you are looking to escape.

Camp hosts are great. Very Friendly, but.... The Army core of engineers really needs to get the beach opened back up. Parents and children are swimming in areas that people with boats are docking on the banks. Very dangerous. Also some camping people are taking things that do not belong to them, for example our rope that we have tied up to a tree where we dock our boat has been stolen more than once. It is very upsetting to get back to the bank and realize your tie up has been taken. Also the laundry house really needs to be opened again as well. This was one of the perks of camping at Piney Grove. We have been coming for over 20 years and have always enjoyed the campgrounds but not not so much. So Campers just stay alert as to what you have and make sure you report any piece of your property that may come up missing.

Piney Grove is the best campground. We always have a wonderful time there.
