Site 78. Pretty level site with a decent view of the lake all around. I love this campground. So many nice people, and it really was very clean and quiet. Our weather was too hot to spend too much time outdoors, but what time we did spend was precious there. The park attendants/rangers were all very nice and cordial. Very helpful. Beach area clean and nice. I do wish they would replace some of the broken pavement that leads to the docks. Probably would not bother most people - I just have difficulty walking and it was a challenge with some of that path. I think the only negative though I had was that many people did not clean up after their dogs. That always concerns me as I walk my dog as well and would not want to entertain disease to another puppy leaving that behind. The main roads to the campground were very nice - not too narrow, but somewhat. Only about 20 miles to Booneville ... decent shopping for groceries and supplies. We would certainly go back there even though not many attractions in that area to visit.

What an awesome place. quite and plenty to do. We walked everyday and talked to other staying and everyone said the same how much they love it here. We will return again and again.

We stayed at Piney Grove while we visited the Natchez Trace Parkway. It was very convenient to the Trace. The campground is beautiful. I would recommend that serious campers reserve their spots in the "lower" camp rather the upper. The weekend brought in lots of campers to the upper camp and it was very noisy with dogs during the day and party campers at night. We made sure to move down to the lower camp before our second weekend there. It was much quieter.
