The shower area could use some much needed attention. The handicap bench in both the ladies and men’s showers were damaged and unsafe for use. The shower curtains were so small that they were useless. The stalls could use some paint.
The dump station flush hoses had holes that sprayed water everywhere. Someone had attempted to wrap electrical tape around the holes with no success.
The website advertised that they have laundry. Which they do However it was closed for Covid and never reopened.
If this park would spend just a little money on repairs it would be a great park.
We were site 27. When I booked this site it was one of three available, so I assumed the site was going to be blah, but y’all this site was amazing. The first loop is by far my favorite. We could see the playground from our site and could walk to it in a minute. We were also very close to a pier and were able to park our boat on the shore next to the amphitheater. Piney Grove was clean, family friendly, and quiet for having so many sites, over 130 I believe. Also, the campground was sold out this weekend. We road our boat around Bay Springs lake and found our own private shore line to hang out on for a little while, the water was very clear.(the public swim beach is still closed)
-FYI Piney Grove does not have sewer hook ups.
All in all this was an awesome stay and we will for sure be back! ????
