Dewayne Hayes CG was well designed. It is spacious, quiet and clean . Nice for walking with hiking trails and playgrounds. Conveniently located between Columbus and West Point.

We camped here in December. The camp host was very friendly and helpful. Our site was great. It was level and paved. We especially loved the lighted dock/walkway that was just down from us. We hope to be able to come back and stay longer at some point

We like this campground, but the cell service has gotten worse for some reason. The guy at the front gate needs some help.

We always enjoy our time at Dewayne Hayes. Park is beautiful and host always very nice. This is one of our favorite parks.

I would like to see more play grounds for the kids . We been going there for years and a lot of the playgrounds was removed. Also, clean out the boat landing inside the camp ground . Dewayne Hayes is an excellent place to camp.

This is a great off season park for us. We had site 74 and could enjoy watching the barges go up and down the river. Plenty of space between sites. We love the walking path through the woods. The host, Steve, was very helpful and friendly. We very much appreciate the staff maintaining the bath houses and grounds, they are very friendly and do a great job. The park is close to Columbus which has everything you need from groceries to laundry. Be sure to eat at The Grill, the food is excellent.

Great campground. Had a wonderful trip. We use the bathroom , even though we had sewer, to bath and would be great if there was a little more heat in the mornings. Other than that- great.

Our trip to Dewayne Hayes Campground was awesome. The campground host are very friendly and helpful. The campsites very clean and well maintained. After a couple days of camping, we discovered our hot water heater was not heating. We got a new heating element, but not the right tools. But one of the campground host that was making his rounds saw my husband working on it and stopped to offer his help and his tools. Thanks to his kindness and help, we had hot water again. In my opinion, he went above and beyond what his job required him to do. We have stayed at many other campgrounds in the past, but not many were this quiet, clean and friendly. We will be making this a regular place to visit.

We sincerely enjoyed our stay at this COE park. The location is easy to access and close to Columbus, MS, which is a pleasant town with interesting historical sites and excellent dining and shopping options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Paved nature trail was a big plus, and it was fun to watch the boats and barges on the waterway.

Nice quiet campground. Sites have level concrete pads and some sites are fhu. Good level roads for bike riding, however, not many trails to hike.

We had 2 different sites here, right by the boat launch. Hiking trails, docks for fishing, open restrooms and showers, and full hookups. Columbia is 15 minutes away with Walmart and restaurants. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is because hiking trails weren't cleaned up and sites #91 thru #95 were in disrepair. I recommend sites #74 and #75. On the the Tombigbee Waterway.

Camping sites are great. Do not like having to make reservations on line. Prefer to see site before committing. Personnel not very friendly. They give no helpful information when checking in. Probably will not return.
