Always enjoy Dewayne Hayes. The cleaning service keeps the bathrooms clean. The volunteers are pleasant and work to have the sites ready for the next guest. Fun to watch the barges coming down the river.

We enjoyed our week long stay. I wish the catfishing would been better, but thats how it is when it's hand grabbing season! But over all it was most enjoyable.

Love camping at Dwayne Hayes. The sites are spacious and shady. Many sites to choose from. Full hookups available on some sites. Camp host and staff are friendly. Enjoy seeing the barges coming down the Tom Bigbee. Shops are close by if you need anything.

We always love DeWayne Hayes park . The staff at check in were really nice. The park is always clean as are the bathhouses . The advantage to fall and winter camping you have a better view of the river from spots that usually are to thick with brush and trees to see . Theres good restaurants within about a 15 min drive . Hanks bar-b-q and Profitts porch are a couple . One thing we did notice was with a 5 day stay we only saw a park host in a golf cart once riding around . My wife noticed it first saying that before anytime we stayed there we would see the host many times a day riding around and talking to campers . It kind of made her feel a little safer seeing them riding around . Not that theres any trouble but its what she noticed and felt .

The campground has not changed so still a decent place to stay if needing to go on the airbase. The hosts have changed and are under staffed... plus it seems they have not been trained in all aspects of reservations. I usually can go on recreation.gov to modify my stay but not here. So I called recreation.gov and they couldn't either and said at this campground you have to go to the booth and they can. Well the don't know how and won't call the ranger to find out. Also something has happened to the cell service...it is really bad now compared to the half dozen times we've stayed before. Oh yeah the roads are in need of repairs.

Very nice park. Spacious, clean sites. Clean restrooms. Great gate attendants and park hosts. Boat landing in the park.

We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer. The park was beautiful with lots of trees! We were pleasantly surprised that our spot was FHU!!

Love the campground and the staff is very helpful and professional. Very knowledgeable of the area and activities in the area. I would rate this campground a 10 out of a 10

As far as the park accommodations were concerned, our stay was great. We were lucky enough to get a sewer site, which always makes the stay (and departure) easier. Unfortunately, being there in February was not really conducive to many outdoor activities, but we were able to spend quality time with our other camping-club buddies who were also there.

We have been down to DeWayne Hayes campground a few times and we are never disappointed on the friendly staff and well kept sites. This is our go to place when we visit my brother in Columbus, Ms.

Very nice COE park along the Tombigbee Waterway. Thia COE park even had some full hookup sites which we had, makes for a very enjoyable experience. Town of Columbus nearby has everything you would need. Do not allow your GPS to take you down Barton Ferry Rd from US 45.......it is gravel and your vehicles will be covered in dust once you arrive at the campground.......ask me how I know.

We have always loved Dewayne. Its not too far from home or town. Our kids would enjoy the splash park & playground. We would have their grandparents out to visit the campsite one night while we were there. They both looked forward to it..but now, things are so different. Its just sad that we cant let the kids play in any of the kid areas. Their grandparents cant come visit. Its just not the same. I realize its that way everywhere, thanks to Covid. Ready for camping to be what it use to be!
