This was a great place. Very beautiful and well maintained.Be careful in choosing a site. Some are very small. The stated pad lengths do not account for the parking block that prevents you from backing to the end of the pad. This reduces the length by a foot or more.THE WORST PART is the strict rule against parking anywhere off of the pad of your site. This means you cannot put one wheel on the grass, dirt, or gravel at the edge of the pad. This combined with the short pad length of many of the sites makes parking difficult.

The campground was very nice, as was the visitor center. The only complaint that I have is that there were very few walking trails, and the trails that they had were walking on the roads. There was not a lot of traffic, and we were 2 adults, so it was not too much of a problem for us.

The campsites were very close together, not very private. But the surroundings in the park were lovely! Even on a chilly day it was beautiful simply looking out the window from a parking spot near the water.

The camp ground was nice. Got it for four days unfortunately had to leave early due to storm, was told we would get refunded the amount that we didn't stay for which was two days but still haven't received that refund yet it's been more than two weeks. The campground is very nice though highly recommend

We've been coming to Davis Bayou every February for many years. Beautiful wilderness setting in an urban area. However, this year, we were disappointed in the hot water situation and managements lack of concern. We were here for 2 full weeks and never had hot water in the shower rooms...no matter what time of day we scheduled our showers. One ranger said it was the time of day and the hot water had simply ran out. Another worker admitted the water was just barely warm and he suspected a heating element was bad in the water heater. Hoping they get this fixed before our next trip...February can be a bit chilly at Davis Bayou and cool showers everyday are not enjoyable.

We were only there one day.We enjoyed our stay. Facilities worked well, Bathrooms/showers were clean and look good, even though we did not use them.

Nice little campground, beautiful area. Kay, the camp host, kept everything very well run, and it's obvious she cares a lot about the place. Very clean.

Very nice quiet campground. Close to town. They do not have sewer hookups. Only power and water. They have a drive up dump station. I will return for another visit

What a beautiful spot! Lots to see and do. Nice campsites, though ours was to short for us to park our tow vehicle. The open concept showers make it difficult to keep your clothes dry when dressing. Didn't enjoy being told to wait to pull on to our empty campsite until 2 p.m, when we arrived at 1. The next day people were arriving at 1230 and allowed to set up. The staff at the visitor's centre were friendly and informative. Good location close to restaurants and attractions.

Small campground and our site was small, some sites are larger. We had good shade, some did not. Flies were worrisome, but no problem with gnats or mosquitoes. Clean showers & restrooms. Close to town & restaurants. About 6 mi. from the local beach. which was not crowded. Overall good experience. We will definitely be going back.

I have to give a very good instead of excellent because the check in was not good.It was my understanding per email in December that check in was at 1.We arrived at 1:30. Our lot was empty and cleaned. We were told to leave the campground and wait 30 minutes in a different area. We have camped at Davis Bayou many times and this has never been a problem even when we arrived up to two hours early.
