Campground staff are knowledgeable and helpful; also, an added feature is the several paths leading from certain campsites to portions of the bayou. This affords closer viewing of the beautiful resident birds!

We were really pleased with our visit to Davis Bayou Campground. Our location, site 36, had slightly more gradient than what we could balance. With our neighbor John we moved closer to the front and cleared this up. The on site manager was very nice to us that our entire visit. Its a beautiful location with lots of things to do.

Beautiful, quiet campground tucked under trees. Sites are well spaced and have level concrete pads. Bathroom is kept cleaned. Another great government spot, especially at $11/night with Senior Interagency Pass. And it's a dark sky...no artificial light to ruin stargazing. Visitor Center is informative and worth checking out.

The campsite was a steep downhill from the asphalt all the way out. We couldn't set up out site.

What a lovely campground. We were able to hear the birds and insects at night instead of traffic. Loads of space and very well maintained. Ranger Patty was so helpful and nice. You can fish off the bridge and the boat launch is very nice.

Site was a wee bit short but we did fit.Officer reminded us that tires must NOT touch the grass! I read about Gulf Shores police being picky about that, and that were correct!

We loved this campground! Our site was great. The people were very nice and friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and quiet. The shower was very clean with plenty of hot water. We were able to ride our bikes all over. We would recommend it to anyone. We will be back.

We stayed four nights in October, 2023. This was our third time at Davis Bayou and will not be the last. We've stayed in sites 23, 35, and 36, all on the outside of the loop on the south side of the campground. The campground and facilities are quiet and well maintained. Everything there is kept clean. The grounds, roads, dump station, bathrooms, and showers are well maintained. The water pressure at the campsites is excellent and the power connection boxes are modern. The showers have good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The NPS staff that takes care of the campground does good work and are all good folks to deal with. We didn't get a chance to interact with the camp hosts. The boat launch is close to the campground and is similarly well maintained. There is ample parking there and it never seems to be too congested. The area is good for walking. The campground is connected by walking path to a quiet residential area that actually has sidewalks! There are a few minor negatives. One, the sites are tightly spaced and don't offer a lot of buffer between sites. Two, the site driveways are short. Of the three we stayed in, #36 was the only one that was really big enough to accommodate our 22' trailer and tow vehicle. That seems to be the norm in the campground. The folks with bigger rigs really had to get creative with parking. The dump station is oddly located inside the campground on the inbound loop near the entrance. That results in quite a traffic jam when a lot of people are checking out at the same time. It also means making an extra trip around the campground to get to and exit the dump station.

This is a lovely campground! The ranger and camp hosts were very friendly and helpful. Showers could use a new coat of paint but water was hot and pressure was good. Close to grocery store and the nearby town of Ocean Springs has great restaurants, shopping, breweries and very clean beaches.

Most sites too short for no reason trees need to be trimmed higher and less overhang.

Site pad was too small (too short and too narrow). Site pad was several inches higher than surrounding ground level, making it hazardous to step off trailer steps onto level ground.

It's always a great stay.I visit several times a year with my dog Buddy and there is so much to do and the area is very pet friendly. Some days we cruise the coast over to Bay Saint Louis and others just stick around. We have our favorite outdoor dining restaurants along Government Street and walk down Washington Street to the beach and Harbor.
