Great campground with water and electricity in the Gulf Shore National Historic area. Friendly camphost and park rangers. Site are close together but still have space on sites. Restroom were clan and on good operating condition.

This place is amazing. Short trip from the I-10 exit, and right before entering the state park, there is US-90 for you to get some last minute items. We only stayed for one night. Super quiet, there are showers and bathrooms available as well.

Quiet and heavily wooded with good walking trails and fishing, good location with lots of activities and places to visit nearby; however, no sewer hookup, and the showers and womens restroom could use some work. The camp host was very helpful and professional

Nice peaceful campground

The only drawback I can tell you about are the showers. There is no separation between the shower and your clothing. You might want to leave your shoes outside the door.

Very friendly check in staff! Campground was shady and quiet. Clean restrooms. Shower rooms need a dry area for dressing. Good water pressure.

Beautiful campground, trails, wildlife. Close to shops, restaurants, downtown, casinos and beach!

Really clean park and friendly staff. Quiet and fishing was fun! I do wish they had a park store as we like to take a little piece back with us such as stickers, t-shirts...etc. We will be be back.

We love Davis Bayou. We have been several times. Always a great camping trip. This was no exception. We were greeted by camp hosts. I forgot their name (shame on me). They were some of the friendliest and most helpful folks we have ever came in contact with. They said hello, and asked how we were doing as they strolled by several other times too. Our favorite thing about this location is the biking. Ocean Springs has really great bike routes. You feel like you are in the woods when staying here. But you can bike into downtown. The downtown is wonderful with lots of local shops and restaurants. The bike paths go all over besides, to the beach, and across the bay bridge into Biloxi. All off road. They are wonderful. We rode 21 miles one day and really didn't bike as much as we could. We also biked to Eleven Oak trail. Incredible small trail with hundred year old oaks. There are some short hiking trails in the park and a great ranger/interoperative center. The ranger this time (again forgot name) was also the most informative that we ran into. We always bring our kayaks and go out to Deer island in the bay. Another great adventure where there is often no one around. So you have a deserted island all to yourself, with a private beach. Many of the lower number sites are shaded, and more private. The upper number sites are more open. The sites had water and 20/30/50 electric. There is a dump station on site. Verizon service was very good. Can't wait for the next trip

I love Davis Bayou. The campground host, the rangers, everyone is really friendly. There are many repeat visitors so I meet people from previous visits. It is always a good time.
Be sure to walk over to the Visitor Center for the sunset. Be sure to turn off your lights to see the stars out over the Gulf. Be sure to treat yourself to a fire, which also will help with mosquitos. And bug spray works too. Listen for the night herons and alligators. Take racoon precautions. The pungent marsh smells let you know this is not like home but rich and wonderful and mysterious. This is a great place to unwind.

Affordable is the main asset. The pad was so high (#19) that the trailer steps couldn’t reach the ground. No sewer didn’t bother us as we stayed only two nights. Plenty of space between sites. Staff drove by frequently.

We spent two days and enjoyed the park. The Park was tucked away but still close enough to everything. We would absolutely return.

Would definitely recommend this campground.

We had a great stay at Davis Bayou. Our site was perfect under a canopy of trees. The fire pit was clean and in like-new shape. The picnic table was in fair condition. The site does have a significant ledge drop-off from the asphalt, but all the sites do. This ledge makes for a trip hazard, particularly at the RV area.

The overall campground is in good, neat condition. Some parts of the campground road are in need of asphalt work but for the most part, they are suitable. The bathhouse is always clean and well supplied although the hot water for the showers tends to run out. The shower section does not have mirrors so you have to go to the restroom side to shave and such. However, there aren't any shelves in the restroom side to hang/place personal gear and the sinks are wall-hung so there isn't a counter.
I do like the individual locking shower rooms.
No site sewer, but a decent dump station that was clean and easy to access and use.

Lots of relaxation at this campground, plenty of trails and places to ride bikes. We stayed 1 week and the landscape crew came through during our stay. They cut the grass as best they can in occupied sites, however, they use large commercial riding mowers without discharge shields. Our car and RV was pelted with ground debris. I really felt the grounds crew should have shields/guards in place to protect not only property but people too.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay the entire time and will be returning to Davis Bayou.
