Jean, the host that was on that day, is delightful. Very welcoming. Park clean and tidy. They are updating all the electric etc at sites so please be patient as this project gets completed.

Very peaceful campground. Plenty of sites with shade to choose from. Some sites the fire pit and picnic table are down a few steps below the parking pad. It was perfect for tent camping (site 35) but may not be the best choice for RVs.

I found the sites well designed with ready access to electricity and water at my site and a nice path from the back of my site leading down to the bayou in the back. There wasn't readily available firewood in the campground however, so I had to drive into town and buy it at the nearest grocery store.

Great location. Great stay. Small bath/shower facilities and rangers are too Strick about parking in grass in front of your RV.

The showers were small cells with no ventilation. The bathrooms lacked shelving for clothes, toothbrushes etc. The sites were short and made shorter by the barriers and curves in the road. Parking requirements were not clearly stated ( we spoke to rangers and hosts) We were woken on Easter morning because our jeep was parked at an angle after being in the site for 3 days with no complaints. The officer and ranger never told us that there is overflow parking. We will not return.

We had one of the best times of our lives. The Rangers were the best you could ever ask for. The property was very well maintained and we were made to feel like family . We had a hard time leaving and can't wait until we are able to visit again. Thank you so much. We give an outstanding thumbs up!!!

The female camp host was very rude, as I believe was mentioned in other reviews. I would have rated this 5 stars otherwise, because the park is so very gorgeous. Ranger Patty was very nice when we checked in at the Registration Office. The camp host was driving around on her golf cart in front of us so we went directly to our campsite after checking in. This host made sure to come over later looking at us like we were crazy and let us firmly know that NO, we were wrong to go to the office literally titled "Registration Office" to register. Stating that she IS registration lol. It's so important for us to stay somewhere where we feel safe and the people are kind. If the host of a campground is a Karen, it really does impact your experience and stay.

This is not a tent friendly camp site at all. Its an RV park that just so happen to have sandy area by the gator infested waters. Basically the tent location is a fire pit area barely big enough for one tent Throughout the night someone kept walking around our tent which was located down and away from the nearest RV. Wife and I couldnt sleep due to the visitor peaking around our tent. Early that morning (430am) my wife and I walked to the bathrooms which are extremely clean but was greeted by a man with no shirt coming out of the wooded area. He followed and harassed us almost all the way back to our tent. Once we returned I called the camp host with no answer and proceeded to pack up. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone in tents or RV due to the safety problems alone.

The Camp was great~! The facilities clean. I gave it 4 stars only because Mother Nature decided to make half my time there insufferably hot. The camp is rounded by field officers and never for a moment did I feel unsafe. It was very pleasant watching the barges on the Arkansas River. It felt very peaceful.

staff was super unfriendly and nasty when trying to check in to the campsite. we decided to opt out and stay at a rest area nearby instead. we have been doing this full time for almost four years and have stayed at many campgrounds from california to maine and have never had this happen to us. we will avoid this campground at all costs in the future.

We had a one night stay booked and left without even staying the night. The ranger was not wearing a mask when I walked in but was inpatient and insisted I wear one. She checked me in at approx 10;45, and told me check in was at 2. I told her it wasnt an issue, if the site was occupied Id go to the visitor center and wed picnic before getting settled. I had to drive by the site to get out, and the site was empty, so I unhitched my trailer and moved my tow vehicle off the road onto gravel at the side of the site temporarily so we could connect to hook ups. The ranger had come over to the site and in the presence of the neighboring camper fussed at me about my vehicle and unhitching before 2. Ive been camping for years and at both private, state and other National campgrounds. Ive never had an issue if the site is open. I told her Id be more than happy to hitch back up and move. The neighbor was shocked at her fussing and rude tone. I hitched back up and the neighbor insisted that the ranger who checked him in the day before had been very pleasant and helpful. Instead of enduring a day of her rudeness, I hitched up and left completely. We just spent a week last month at big cypress in Florida and had the most pleasant and helpful rangers and camp ground hosts. Id recommend a cooperative program between parks for training in customer service and hospitality.

Beautiful campground. Needs signage to organize waiting line at dump station. Ranger never around. Hard to purchase pass.
