(RV traveler). Very nice an tranquil which is typical of COE campgrounds. We walked the entire campground (3 loops) and visually it appeared many of the sites (not all) to be a leveling challenge and some would also present a challenging back-in entry. Sites do not have a sewer HU but there is a dump station w/room for 2. We had good T-Mobile reception (2-3 bars 5G); no problems with TV streaming /viewing. The park is open 6AM-10PM. There are gates but am unsure if they're locked at night. Would definitely return.

I would give an excellent rating, but the park needs some love. The undergrowth needs to be cut down and the paths maintained. Great place, awesome staff, family friendly, and beautiful sunsets.

We love staying at Whitten camp site. It's always clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The only thing I wish, it had internet access. It's close to shopping and restaurant.

What a beautiful campground! We found Jamie Whitten Park/Fulton Recreation Campground in Fulton, Mississippi, by accident. We were traveling home to Arkansas from Tampa (post Milton), and just looking for a place to stop for the night. I found this place on RV Life. This is a COE (Core of Engineers) campground. Cost is very reasonable ($30. / night) if you are a senior and have a senior Federal park pass, it's only $15./night. We are staying for 3 nights! This park is located on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, which is a lock system joining the 2 rivers. So the park is right on the water. Our space is about 50 yards from the waters edge. There are several docks and boat launches in the area, and a Marina is about half a mile down the road. There is a public boat launch and several picnic pavilions before the entrance to the park. Really, you need to check this place out! There are spaces for RVs, trailers, and tent camping. Most (maybe all?) spaces have electric and water hookups. There is a dump station on the way in. All spaces have concrete level pads. There are large green spaces for kids to play and extra parking for extra cars. There are nice restrooms and bath houses on each of the three loops, with abt 20 parking/camping spaces per loop. Also, there are bike trails as well as walking paths to the docks and waters edge.We stayed in space 9 on the first loop. It's a nice large pull thru site. We're looking forward to going back.

Outstanding campground. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Whitten Park. Our campsite by the lake was spectacular, the bathhouse was very clean, and we were so very happy with our visit. Thank you so much!

Excellent place! Staff was incredibly helpful. We stayed in site 9, which is actually a double length site, 8 and 9, but they dont rent out 8 separately anymore. Site was level enough to not unhook our 42 fifth wheel. We had a beautiful view of the river. The grounds appeared well kept. There was a big playground that looked like fun for kids. We would love to come back for a longer stay sometime.

Loved Whitten Park! We were passing thru, looking for safe, quite place to stay for the night. Happened upon Whitten Park and it was perfect. Couple at the gate were so friendly and helpful. Walked me thru signing up online and price was surprisingly low. Liked it so much we stayed an extra night!
If we’re ever in the area again, we’re definitely coming back! Beautiful area, highly recommend!

VERY well-kept secret. Very nice, secluded and scenic with very nice spots. We were on 9 I believe. Have stayed before, was one of the reasons for returning. Using the website for reservations and paying online, while is convenient, is unusual. The camp host will check on you, as the have access to website to confirm your reservations, and to see if you have paid.No sewer, however, the dump site is convenient and plenty of room.As a side note, ACCESS PASS card will give you a 50% discount on the rates.Camp Host was very friendly and helpful.Highly recommend for a stopover .... will not be disappointed.

We spent one night in space #9. Our GPS couldn't find Whitten Park, so I used the directions from website. A little confusing and additional signage would have been appreciated to let us know we were getting closer. #9 is a "pull thru" premium site, but only if #8 is empty. Fortunately, #8 was empty, when we got there and no one came in that night. There are 2 real pull thru's in another site they are #'s in the 40's. We were welcomed by a very friendly and helpful host at the gate. His wife came by our site when she saw me outside looking over the site to see if I had concerns. She was also, extremely friendly and I found them to be very experienced in hosting camp sites. It was their first day, but we wouldn't have known that if they hadn't told us. We had a pleasant walk out on the pier on the lake. Very quiet and clean campground and facilities. Most sites were vacant. It was Monday Sept. 21. Our site had 50 amp service, and water. There is a dump station by the entrance that is well located and easy access. We were traveling in a 2018 Coachmen 32 Ft. Class A, flat towing a Flex. We would stay there again. Great deal with our National Parks Pass $15/night. Corps of Engineers Lake. We have found these wonderful in Mississippi and Alabama, when we are fairly close. This is just off I-22 which was wonderful location!

We absolutely loved site #9. Being at the park at this time of year, there were lots of empty sites and with no one in site 8, we had the double site with amazing waterviews to ourselves. There was a tornado watch/warning while we were there but the hosts mad sure we knew where to go to seek shelter and helped us feel safe during the experience. I would definately go back to this campground and would stay longer next time. Also, it is conveniently located off the highway and is big rig friendly.

We had planned on staying here several days but due to weather issues we left late. The campground was nice, well kept, and we had a really nice large site right on the waterfront. We were disappointed we couldnt stay longer and would definitely go back.
