Great little campground! We were really happy with the size and layout of our site. Our site had lots of trees and was a really level campsite, with a great living area. I think this campground has a lot of potential but does need a little work. With that being said, I do know renovations are scheduled starting next month. We are excited to come back and see what all has been improved. Hopefully all of the wood structures are updated or replaced, we would like to see more areas accessible to the lake. From our campsite, we could see the lake but wasn't easily accessible. The paved pathways need the overgrowth cut back and maybe even some re-paving in some areas. The bath houses need the most updating. The stalls are a little small, and the shower's need some updating. But overall, a great place!! Highly recommend! During the renovations, I would recommend Piney Grove Recreation Area just North of here.

We stayed at site 22. Really liked this park a lot we would return. The staff were very helpful as we arrived and the site was clean had electricity and water. Nice hiking trails one paved, check for ticks after you return.

So glad they are about to do renovations in this campground. They are closing in September. 2024 and reopening in February, 2025 if I remember correctly. The showers in our loop were pretty rustic... I chose to use our RV shower -- just can't do the whole showering with the mosquito eater bugs. The campsite itself was great -- great view of the waterway. We went to the Historical Center there by the campground (trail leads to it). It was OK, but definitely needed updating (which again I know they'll be doing). I'm guessing since they know renovations are coming that they are minimally keeping up with maintenance issues. We will be back again, as we wanted to explore more of the Natchez Trail (it rained a lot while we were there, so exploring was limited). Hoping when we are back, the renovations will have made this a prime campground for us. If you're just needing a stopover, this will do for now. If you are wanting a longer term stay, give it til next year I'd say.

Very nice park on the lake with trails and nice restroom/showers. Great place to photograph all the birds and enjoy nature.

This is a beautiful park. We had a spot right on the water. Close to town if you forgot something.

Online map needs to be updated. I picked our site (#27) for the proximity to a playground. 3 kids (10 y/o and younger) wanted them to have something to do close by. Unfortunately there was no playground. The paper map given to us when we arrived didn’t show the playground. It looks like there use to be one but is just a flat clearing now. The water way and beach area have a lot of trash. Bathrooms were fairly clean. Overall the issues were minor and we had a good time.
