We love to go when we want a quite time ... it's so peaceful every time we talk to people around us all are helpful and kind. I like the fact that we can just not worry about our pets everyone obeys the rules. Great please to stay we will be using that park a lot.

Very friendly attendants. Had just rained so campsite had a lot of water on it - but that is Mother Nature issue. Have stayed here three times - each time just overnight - would recommend.

We had a really enjoyable weekend. The park is well shaded and so are all the camp sites. There was plenty of room to walk or go on a trail walk. Parking our RV was a breeze. We will be back! The Tombigbee Waterway was such a pleasant view.

Whitten is in a great location - close to the highway and close to a terrific size city. The majority of the sites do not have water view and non have water access but are shaded and good size.

Unfortunately there was rain for most of our stay. We did enjoy walking and exploring the park.

Stopover en route to California, so not much time spent here. As with most COA campsites, spacious sites, clean campground and facilities.

This is a good stop over near the interstate. We try to stop here to use the washer and dryer, but they were all locked up and the host stated they've been locked up all year and didn't know why. So unless we really need to stop, I think we'll pass next time.

Very good experience, mostly had the camping area to ourselves! Facilities are a little outdated but still ok. Camp site was fairly clean when we arrived, all the utilities worked as expected. All in all it was a very good experience!

We booked a pull thru site. The peaceful and relaxing time was wonderful. We saw wildlife and my husband rode his mobility scooter thru the campgrounds went to the pier. Had a great time.
We love this park! Quiet, plenty of room between campers. Clean. Everyone is very nice and helpful.

Park was great. Recreation.gov not so. Have been trying to make reservations for days for Whitten Park and I am well within the 180 days but unable to reserve

I spent 1 night at this COE camground and arrived as a walkup. As a veteran user of rec.gov I had looked ahead on my travels at your website and was confident walkups would be available. Upon arriving a the park I was informed all sites must be reserved thru rec.gov so after determining an appropriate site I went online to find that site marked FF for that date and therefore unreservable online. Why when all sites had to be reserved would any site be marked FF??????????????????????????????????????????????????????? I'm a retired Telcom Engineer and there is no reason for that, especially this late in the camping season when software issues like that should have been identified and corrected by now. Since I couldn't reserve online I had to contact your call center, on a Sunday, and it took 1 1/2 hours on my prepaid cellphone to get through to an Agent. Additionally the Corp of Engineer policy seems poorly thought out when you have your check-in station staff present and interfacing with the public yet they don't let them process any check-ins but they process changes so where is the logic in their procedures. Overall a very poor experience and one you folks should have never allowed to happen..............shame on your service.

Quiet campground, but you won't want to swim there (when they open it back up again)...water moccasins and gaters.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
