We stop here at least once a year on our way to or from the gulf. This year we are staying here both ways with another reservation for March 14-15. I gave only two stars due to the fact that when we stayed there Feb26-27,2024, the bath/shower houses were locked up. They should be open if there is a camp host , which there was! I hope they are open when we get back there in 9 days. I mean , why pay you for a place to park for the night? Walmarts are free.

The camp ground was very nice and clean but one problem we had was these bugs kinda like mosquitos but was not mosquitos, they were very bad!

First time in COE campground, and was surprised in a very pleasant way. Being a retired engineer, I quickly saw how well-planned and constructed this campground was. Full hook-ups with sewer connections that are at the correct grade to foster proper 'flow'. The roads, sites, and common areas are very well maintained, and the heated rest rooms with hot showers were spotless. There are no bad sites here. Many are lakefront with plenty of space in between. The double-wide concrete pads provide ample room for TV or toad parking. The campground host in the white truck spoke to everyone who ventured into the campground, and it was reassuring to see that someone was keeping an eye on things. We stayed one night on 12/26/2022, and it was brutally cold, so we did not spend much time outside other than walking the dog. However, we plan to come back when we can spend a few nights. I would rate it 5-stars.

Great sites. 17 probably has the best secluded lave view, followed by either 9 or 14. We will sneak up there several more times in the future.

The host was excellent and extremely helpful. The campground was clean and everything was first class. We really enjoyed seeing the upgrades to the sites with sewage hookups. We will be back soon

Great place to camp. All pads are clean and easy to back in. Plenty of room around each site. Restrooms are always clean. Very scenic around small lake.

The camping was great and we liked our site with a view of the lake. We had hoped to do some fishing but the water was too high and we had no luck. we will look forward to another visit when the water goes down some.

We loved our stay at the park and because of our dogs, extended it to avoid New Years celebrations elsewhere. The park was quiet, there were bbq pits, "cooking tables", picnic tables and fire rings at each of the spacious sites. We will definitely return when in the area.

The show in the men's restroom could use a makeover, but over all, it was clean and nice to have. We enjoyed the large pads and extra space for parking. Hookups were clean and in good working order. During our visit, we did have a storm come through. One improvement might be to have a safe room for campers in case of bad weather.
