Easy to find. Quiet, clean campground. Flat and level concrete site. Giant shepherd hook to tie out the dogs, hang some lights, etc. Huge site, excellent view on the river. Everyone is happy and pleasant as they pass by. Wish it was available year round - the price was very cheap and worth more.

I love to watch Barge line river traffic. Reminds me of days long ago when I worked my way through college on inland river towboats, long before the Tombigbee waterway was even started. COE Campgrounds are second to none in providing great camping experience.

This campground was wonderful. From the peaceful atmosphere to the opportunity to watch the barges and other boats go up and down the Tombigbee. Bathrooms were as clean as could be expected. From the moment we entered the gate to when we left the hosts were very polite, and welcoming. Will definitely be re-visiting this campground.

Our favorite parts about camping at Towncreek?
* Sitting at our river-side campsite with a hot cup of coffee watching God's world wake up.
* Riding our bikes through the trails and around the campground. (We've been married 40 years, but we have shared many pre-us memories on
those bike adventures.
* Watching the barges, yachts, ski boats and fishing boats going up an down the Tombigbee River.
* Year after year, watching our two white fish cranes, that we name Heckle and Jeckle, waiting in the trees across that river on a barge to come
by so they can go fishing in the wake of the barge.
* Making memories with our son, his wife and two grandsons as they camp across the road from us. Memories that I hope they share with future
generations.
* Ending our day with something cooking on the grill watching the sun go down over the river.
* As we drift off to sleep listening to the crickets, frogs, hoot owls and all the other sounds of nature as God's world drifts off to sleep preparing to
give us another blessed day at Towncreek.
