Since we were in a tent, the traffic noise was deafening and therefore made it difficult to get a decent nights sleep. It is only a bearable camping location for RVs.

Pokegama campground is a beautiful setting. The sites are large. The free hot showers with plenty of water pressure were wonderful.Bathrooms were modern and clean.We will definitely be back.

This campground is nice. But it’s not monitored at all, people come in with pickup full of trash and put it in the dumpster. We didn’t feel completely safe so we left a day early.

The campsites are great. We were unable to have a campfire, which was understandable due to drought. We enjoyed hiking across the dam but some trails closed due to storm damage. Enjoyed the Forest History Center nearby, and also two microbreweries in Grand Rapids. All in all a great time with two other couples.

Nice park with large sites. We did not realize we would have to drive to Lake Pokegama. We were able to fish the river. The boat landing could use a dock. Very hard to load and unload your boat. Fish cleaning station worked well. Love the grinders.
