There was no one around who was any authority to assist campers. There were empty electric spots that could not be reserved for a single night, even though no one was due in until the next afternoon.

Fantastic campground, organized, clean, beautiful, I highly recommend it. Cross the dam and there are very nice walking/ bike trails.

Beautiful sites with views of
the Mississippi River - love being by the water. Nice clean showers. The only negative is how close it is to the busy highway and constant traffic noise. Train tracks are right there too, but not constant.

Love the campsites, not close together at all.

Was there during the horrible storm. Hid in the bathrooms which wasn’t bad because they were really clean! Clean up happened quickly and power was back on that night!

The best! Our RV site at the Pokegama Dam Campground was level, had a nice fire pit w/cooking grate, a hook for our lantern and was a lovely grassy and peaceful setting on the Mississippi River. The sites are well layed out, w/e with a very clean/modern dump station towards the back. We explored the dam area but didn't walk the trails beyond the dam. We noticed a thoughtfully planned playground if you have children, there's quite a bit of space for kids to frolic and a covered area for family picnics. Just a short drive into Grand Rapids we ate at the Forest Lake Restaurant twice. A ribeye dinner one night and the best BBQ ribs the next! Both meals were much more than we expected --the seasoned wait staff were so welcoming! Also we visited Judy Garland's childhood home one morning, it was was fun and well worth the $10 admittance. There's a nice collection of memorabilia displayed including a few original Wizard of Oz pieces! This COE campground was a perfect place for our large rig...we stayed couple nights and highly recommend!
