Very nice camping experience. We were in Site 8. Across from us was the double site and a very large group of fishermen. They and the rest of the campground appeared to be enjoying themselves but honored quiet hours as well. We checked out at the last possible minute and saw the park staff in action, being very conscientious prepping sites for turnover. We will return!

This is a nice clean park. Cell coverage is excellent. There's not a ton to do here unless you bring a boat but that works for some people.

The campground is well maintained and the amenities are top notch. The fish cleaning house is like an operating room, there are outlets at the boat area for charging batteries and ample parking at the boat launch.

I appreciate being able to borrow a rack at this time of year! And the weather was awesome!

Large wooded sites. Very clean restrooms. Washers/dryers are a big plus. Friendly camp host.

We have been going to federal dam for 9 years. The marina makes it is a great place to take a boat. Always have good fishing. Well run place.

Backing into #8 was difficult due to the deep dip on the left edge of the road. We weren’t quite sure way this drop off was so deep. Not that mosquitoes can be avoided in northern Minnesota when near water, but I don’t think I will camp here again in the spring or summer. Too many mosquitoes to even enjoy the outdoors. Fall might be a better time to return.
