The campground was excellent. The only issue that we had were neighbors in a camper, who played music rather audibly, and who watched a movie until rather late at night. But that was only a mild annoyance. I suppose you have to put up with that sometimes when you are camping. I think they had been there for a while and, when youre at a campsite for a while, here, use technology to keep things interesting, I suppose. The rest of us are only there for maybe two or three days and we prefer the Sounds of Nature. But, I digress. The campground is very well managed and beautiful and within very close proximity to the beach. I found it to be dog friendly, and everybody was very kind. The site was also very close to the dune climb and many hiking trails. Stopping off at the ranger station when you check into the site is fantastic because the Ranger explains many aspects of camping in the park and the surrounding areas. I found that very helpful and a really good orientation to the area. The best part of our particular site was that the actual pad where you could set up your tent, where you sleep, was separated by a little trail from the campfire area and the picnic table. That was so nice and the first time I have camped in a spot like that. Im not sure of all the sites are like that, but ours was. We really thought that was super sweet. And, the pad where you pitch your tent was relatively smooth. I would totally camp there again. I highly recommend this campground.

Loved this campground! Stayed at site 89- good sized, fairly private considering the location (at an intersection). Perfect for our van. Only stayed 1 night, but wish we could have stayed longer. Awesome to be able to walk out onto the beach from the campground and the Heritage Trail is great for walking, running, and riding bikes. Hope to stay again in the future!

Awesome campground! Loved that we could bike to downtown and biked to the dune climb! Love that each site is wooded so you are separated from each other and offered a bit of privacy!
